1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Yuletide Dollie on: December 10, 2005 05:18:00 PM
My niece is only 8 months old and the question came to mind...what can I make her that she might like AND she won't easily be able to destroy.  After some contemplation, I decided on a doll....then after making the body and more contemplation on the naked/faceless doll...it became an elf. Smiley

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Kitty and Spiderman Caps on: November 26, 2005 02:32:11 PM
My sister is moving to Germany next week so I thought I'd make my neice and nephew some warm hats.  My nephew loves Spiderman...and well, my neice is still a baby so she couldn't tell me what she liked...I thought kitty ears would be cute.  Grin

My son's teddy bear graciously agreed to model it til the kids came over.

After the kiddos came over and got their hats.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My son's stuffies on: November 23, 2005 04:15:34 AM
While I was working on some stuffies this weekend, my 8 year old son asked me if he could make one also.  He has fallen in love with sewing now.  He's even told his friend's at school about it and one of the other boys has now asked if my son will make him a blue eyes white dragon.  My son being the ever-ambitious one has become determined to make one for his friend...hehe.  I thought I'd show off his work....pretty good I think for it being his first try.  Cheesy

I made my collage on a 12x12" piece of cardboard that was lying around the house.  The rest of the objects were also things that I found in closets and such after a through hunting.  On to the cardboard I fixed a piece of background from my son's old Jar-Jar 3D board game.  I found pictures out of a Star Wars Insider magazine and after approval of my fiance ripped them out.  The Death Star and planet are constructed of additional cardboard from the board game, painted with leftover paints and set on bottle caps to bring them forward.  The Imperial Cog is made from the top of a car tissue container and a piece of plastic.

All hail the Emperor!!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Star Wars Imperial Cog Baby Blanket on: October 01, 2005 06:40:33 AM
My fiance's daughter came to visit this week and I couldn't resist making this for her (and for him...he's such a huge Star Wars geek. LOL).

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Darth Vadar camp shirt on: August 01, 2005 05:35:25 PM
My son has been on a star wars kick lately and this is the first of several shirts I'm making for him.  It's the first time I've tried making something this extensive for him and I'm pleased with how well it turned out.  He's excited about it as well.

He's such a ham for the camera.   Grin

Being as eclectic as I am in my music choices it was hard choosing what to do...but this song popped into my head and just wouldn't leave...sooo the shirt just had to be made.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Grommet Backpack on: July 08, 2005 09:31:54 AM
I found this cute soccer flannel in a remnant bin and immediately thought of my son.  I made him this bag for his soccer ball and cleats and with a leftover scrap made a water bottle cover to match.  He can't wait to use them this fall when the season starts up.

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Whos Your Daddy T-Shirts: Unique Dad & Son Shirts as Funny Fathers Day Gifts on: July 05, 2005 06:34:09 PM
My son's present for his dad this year.  The picture was of the two of them on a fishing trip.

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / My dart case on: July 05, 2005 10:30:54 AM
I recently picked up a set of darts and although the case had a nifty spider on it, I decided it was just pretty ugly to look at.

So I pulled out my magazines and started looking for images that looked much more like me.  Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results.
