11  My son's stuffies in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Coyotelady on: November 23, 2005 04:15:34 AM
While I was working on some stuffies this weekend, my 8 year old son asked me if he could make one also.  He has fallen in love with sewing now.  He's even told his friend's at school about it and one of the other boys has now asked if my son will make him a blue eyes white dragon.  My son being the ever-ambitious one has become determined to make one for his friend...hehe.  I thought I'd show off his work....pretty good I think for it being his first try.  Cheesy

13  The Emperor's Reach is Everywhere in CHALLENGE 6 ENTRIES by Coyotelady on: October 09, 2005 01:54:19 PM
I made my collage on a 12x12" piece of cardboard that was lying around the house.  The rest of the objects were also things that I found in closets and such after a through hunting.  On to the cardboard I fixed a piece of background from my son's old Jar-Jar 3D board game.  I found pictures out of a Star Wars Insider magazine and after approval of my fiance ripped them out.  The Death Star and planet are constructed of additional cardboard from the board game, painted with leftover paints and set on bottle caps to bring them forward.  The Imperial Cog is made from the top of a car tissue container and a piece of plastic.

All hail the Emperor!!

14  Re: Love your wedding? Then show off your photos here! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Coyotelady on: October 08, 2005 05:43:46 AM
I'll have to keep an eye on this topic....there are some many beautiful and wonderful ideas.  My fiance and I are planning our wedding for March.

I especially liked your cakes Aprilkiss.  One of my fiance's co-workers has a catering business as well and is going to do all our food for us.  She had suggested a similar idea and I couldn't imagine how it would look...but I love the idea after looking at yours. Smiley

and the most important part of any event, the desserts.  we made three different tiers and covered them with tiny cakes of all kinds (cheesecake, chocolate, key lime pie, pecan pie) instead of an actual wedding cake...that way, everyone gets something they like.

My fiance's daughter came to visit this week and I couldn't resist making this for her (and for him...he's such a huge Star Wars geek. LOL).

17  Darth Vadar camp shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Coyotelady on: August 01, 2005 05:35:25 PM
My son has been on a star wars kick lately and this is the first of several shirts I'm making for him.  It's the first time I've tried making something this extensive for him and I'm pleased with how well it turned out.  He's excited about it as well.

He's such a ham for the camera.   Grin

18  Stray Cats strut your stuff in CHALLENGE 4 ENTRIES by Coyotelady on: July 31, 2005 09:17:31 PM
Being as eclectic as I am in my music choices it was hard choosing what to do...but this song popped into my head and just wouldn't leave...sooo the shirt just had to be made.

19  Grommet Backpack in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Coyotelady on: July 08, 2005 09:31:54 AM
I found this cute soccer flannel in a remnant bin and immediately thought of my son.  I made him this bag for his soccer ball and cleats and with a leftover scrap made a water bottle cover to match.  He can't wait to use them this fall when the season starts up.
