1  Re: jedi costume for bears in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by Coyotelady on: February 26, 2006 11:31:16 AM
I'm currently making 5 Jedi tunics for my upcoming wedding.  (My fiance and son are wearing a black tunic with purple tabbards and the rest of the guys are wearing dark brown.)  Basically, the tunic is similar to a karate jacket/short kimino with tabbards added over the shoulder and under the obi.  It should be fairly easy to fashion up one for a bear.  Then just add some pants, boots (might be able to find some in the doll aisle at a craft store), and a lightsaber and you're all set.

Once the tunic is made just add rectangular strips that are twice the length top to botom of the tunic so they will drape all the way down front and back.  Wrap another around the waist and viola...your panda is a jedi. Wink

Wow....I finally remembered to bring my camera back from work.  Everyone has gotten some great things so far.  Yoonikim sent me a great Beetlejuice stuffie and some cute cards.  Smiley

Everyone's items are so awesome.  The Wyrd Sisters clock is too cool.  SlyGrimalkin, how did you make the wings.  They don't look like the pantyhose type material you see most wings made from.  My fiance's niece will be wearing fairy wings in our wedding and those look so neat.  I've been trying to decide how to make hers. Smiley

These are the items I made for Kasie.  I made her a matching knitting set with The Last Unicorn images.

The bag has pictures of the Unicorn and Amalthea on the front, back, and inside pocket.  The needle roll has a dual image of the Unicorn and Amalthea on the outside and on the inside (which I forgot to take a picture of) has pictures of Schmendrick and Molly.  I'll have to check my camera and see if I still have all the pics...I could have sworn I had taken at least one of the inside.  I also added some rose quartz stitch markers in a case that had Amalthea transforming on it and a necklace with a glass marble fairy pendant.  I couldn't get a good picture of it...the flash killed the image of the pendant everytime.

I had so much fun crafting and I love the things Kasie sent me.  Hopefully I'll remember to bring my camera home from work tomorrow so I can post pictures of my goodies. Smiley

5  Re: Random Acts of Strangeness Postcard Swap – Part II Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Coyotelady on: February 02, 2006 07:18:30 PM
I'm so glad you liked it Starpiste.  I finally got some decent pics of the great postcards I got.  The first batch were so fuzzy you couldn't see all the neat details.

This is the Sally doll that I made for girlwonder.  She has a hand colored dress, painted face, and I used embroidery floss for her stitches.

7  Yuletide Dollie in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Coyotelady on: December 10, 2005 05:18:00 PM
My niece is only 8 months old and the question came to mind...what can I make her that she might like AND she won't easily be able to destroy.  After some contemplation, I decided on a doll....then after making the body and more contemplation on the naked/faceless doll...it became an elf. Smiley

Leylia recieved my package yesterday and asked if I had any pics....so here they are.  Cheesy

The geekiest frog ever Wink

A WASD pin.  RPG's anyone?

A goodie for her little girl and some extra transfers for Leylia.  My fiance's sister is expecting and he now wants me to make her a maternity shirt that says "Loading...Please wait" also...hehe.

Some little shirts for her little one on the way.  I was tickled with the "LFM - Looking for Milk" shirt. My fiance and his friend think I had lost it, I think, but they just didn't get it...hehe.  I was shocked at how many guys I knew didn't know "LFM", but then they all play SWG and it just doesn't have a grouping system like some of the other games I've played.

I just had so much fun with this swap.  I think it was the best ever.  Thank you Shotgun_Bettie for organizing it.  You've been the best. Smiley

10  Re: Nightmare Before Christmas Swap - Round 2 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Coyotelady on: December 04, 2005 02:39:09 PM
Sure thing Girlwonder.  This was before I added the stitching at the knees and elbows to allow them to bend a bit. Smiley

Some of the details of her stitches are very clear in this pic...I'll need to check to see if I have a close up.

A little closer. Smiley
