1  Re: Curving Plastic Canvas in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by TheRehn on: January 21, 2008 10:54:42 AM
I'm not sure if you can heat plastic canvas to make it curved, but a lady in my sewing class brought in some things she made and she has made the plastic canvas appear to curve without heat, by joining diamonds of plastic canvas together.  Hopefully that'll inspire you Smiley

2  Re: Verb Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TheRehn on: October 15, 2006 03:18:15 PM
Apologies to Krafty_Kelly for not posting pics of her wonderful package earlier, I'm not entirely sure why, but the computer card reader has decided to stop working  Undecided

The verb I choose was Capture
So here is what my wonderful partner made

A spiderweb shrug to 'capture' myself in.

Complete with beaded spider

(pic is a bit out of focus, if you have a better one Krafty_Kelly do post it Smiley)

Kelly has 'captured' me a Canadian Garden Gremlin

isn't he cute!

And a gorgeous Journal to 'capture' my dreams in Smiley

Thanks for the awesome package Krafty_Kelly

3  first [proper] things I made (needle felting) in Felting: Completed Projects by TheRehn on: June 27, 2006 02:37:48 PM
Well offically these aren't the first things I have needle felted, as the first couple of times I just landed up with blobs! but I am quite proud of these (sorry about the blurry photos!)

felted flower pin thing

It doesn't look that this anymore cos I accidently left in on my top and it went in the washing machine and went all shrunk - but my sister thinks it looks better now lol

felted daffodils (look much better in real life !!!)

and felted picture of a fish (the flat-needle felting tutorial on here helped loads!)

Hope you like them Smiley
