1  Inspired by Genie Bottles in Beads: Completed Projects by janakisses on: January 25, 2006 06:46:44 PM
I have really long hair and find it useless to wear ear rings when you cannot see them anyway, so I made chokers.  Hope you enjoy!

Black: (Hematite, Fiber Optic, black seeds, and sterling silver interior bead)

Brown: (Random tones of brown crystals I had laying around)

Blue: (Montana Blue Swarovski with Speckled saphire/black facets, black seeds, and Montana Blue Swarovski interior)

These are close-ups of the beads on both sides of the Genie Bottle Focal, they are another beaded bead called "Tornado Cubes"

I made these individually, but since this is my phone, I had to have all three!

3  Re: Jewellery/Beading Craftalong (2nd tute - pg 15. NOISY BRACELETS) in Craftalongs by janakisses on: December 16, 2005 08:58:08 AM
My daughter asked me to make one last night for her best friends birthday (they are 12), so I was able to get a picture this time.  It lays really pretty when it is on, but not so well in this picture.

This is blue/green, but my other one was in black and silver.  (I also made earrings for my black one, but not this one, that were smaller versions of the stem part of the Y and just put them on hooks.)

"Noisy" Y Necklace:

4  My Noisy Bracelet in Craftalongs by janakisses on: December 11, 2005 08:30:05 PM
Here is my attempt:

P.S.
The charm says "Hope" and has a tiny blue stone in it.  It is large enough to mark my jumpring extenders.

5  Slider Ring in Beads: Completed Projects by janakisses on: December 11, 2005 08:27:54 PM
I made this out of a left over Swarvoski slider.  I did not have enough to make another watch, but they cost too much to just discard!

6  Floating Necklaces in Beads: Completed Projects by janakisses on: December 11, 2005 08:25:35 PM
I found these really pretty stones and could not find anything to do with them, so I made them into floating necklaces:

Opal (Opal horizontal drilled and opal Swarvoski crystals):

7  Double Diamond Stitch in Beads: Completed Projects by janakisses on: December 11, 2005 08:19:26 PM
Here is my latest attempts at jewelry making.  I am making 6 sets of the pearl and gold choker, bracelet, and earrings for a friends wedding.

I started with this one.  It is black dunks with an AB finish and silver and black 11/0 seed beads.

Hope you enjoy!

8  Dream Weaver in Beads: Completed Projects by janakisses on: November 03, 2005 11:04:32 AM
This was my project last weekend.  I tried and tried, but was unable to get a picture that really done it justice!

It is 10 individual strands woven through a base strand and focal bead.  The seed and accent bead colors are all browns, golds, and coppers.

I just started another one with black, white, and silver, and will post it when it is done.  I am hoping to find the time to do a tutorial for the jewelry craft-a-long.

9  2 New Sets in Beads: Completed Projects by janakisses on: October 25, 2005 06:10:49 AM
I was lucky enough to acquire some back issues of Bead and Button magazine last week and found directions for this necklace, called Fall Fringe in the October 2004 issue.  I was unable to get the color of leaf beads needed for it to be in all fall colors, so I call mine, Indian Summer!

Detail:

This one, I found these shell type beads at a bead store on clearance and set them back until I could figure out what to do with them, that was a year ago!  I finally found something, I used sterling silver long curved bugle type beads, sterling silver round beads, and sterling silver findings:

10  Spiral Choker in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by janakisses on: October 14, 2005 03:45:41 AM
For the first Jewelry Craftalong, we were challenged to create a necklace with wire and beads, using the spiral design.  I had some 18 guage red Artisitic Wire laying around, so I grabbed it and my nylon flat nose pliers and this is what I came up with.  I really loved the simplicity of the spirals and how elegant it looked, so I decided not to put any beads on it and left it as it was.  I sometimes have a tendency to "overkill" something because I cannot stop fiddling with it!  I thought I would post it here in case you don't look through the craftalong boards.  Hope you enjoy!
