1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Is it possible to somehow use a Speedball screen with the Yudu machine? on: February 21, 2011 07:08:02 AM
I just bought the Yudu yesterday. I have a Speedball screen that I made a few months ago and put a lot of time and effort into that I would love to use somehow if possible. I'm browsing Yudu hacks videos on YouTube, but since this is the crafty mecca I know that if it is possible, someone here on Craftster will know...

Thanks!

All respect, mature tags exist for a reason. In fact, they are an attractant for many views more often than not Cheesy!

I totally have a dirty mind and I always click on the mature image tags when I see them.  Shocked Grin Wink

That out of the way...the stamp is very cool! Vaginae are pretty fascinating things.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Turn a bodice into an underbust corset? on: May 29, 2010 05:33:30 AM
I have a bodice that I took off of a thrift store purchased gown. It is a size 12 or 14, and I'm a 6/8. I've had a little trouble figuring out how to take it in, when it dawned on me to make a corset out of it, so I can cut some of the fabric out of the back (around the zipper area) and sew up the cut edges. Much easier than trying to take it in.

In addition, my boyfriend and I are going to a rave in mid-June, and I'd love to wear this underbust corset, and paint it to fit the theme of the rave.

I guess I'd just have to cut the fabric out of the back, down to a length that would fit me, then cut the top down to the length/shape that I'd want the corset to be. I'd want it to be underbust style, so I can wear a black bra and then the corset would just about meet the bra. I'll browse online for a pattern, but I imagine I may just have to use newspaper or something to make a pattern for myself.

Then I'd have to do the grommets and holes in order to lace it up. Is this terribly expensive or difficult? I've seen very basic looking kits at JoAnns, and I think I may even have a tool that belonged to my grandmother for squishing the two parts of the grommets together...

I'd love any advice on this project!! The idea I have for this corset is SO hot and perfect for the rave, I'm dying for it to come out like my vision.
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Best prices for button making machine? on: January 05, 2010 11:30:19 AM
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this...or where I should if this isn't right, so feel free to move if necessary.

I am looking for recommendations on a button making machine to buy. I'm looking for something made of metal that will make good looking buttons, not kill my hands, and hold up well. So far the best price I've found is from buttonsonline.com, $194 for the machine and $80 for a cutter. This will be used primarily to make promo items for our own businesses, but we'll also offer it as a service (small scale).

Are there better prices out there? Any suggesions, recommendations, or other words of wisdom?

Thanks.
5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Can't add to bookmarks? Is there a limit? on: December 31, 2009 07:10:58 AM
I keep trying to bookmark threads and they're not showing up in my list of bookmarks...is there a limit on how many bookmarks you can have? Is this a site error, user error...?

Thanks! Smiley

7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Pretzels! on: December 15, 2009 12:25:20 PM
How difficult would it be to make these cheese filled? My boyfriend loves those super processed, totally unhealthy cheddar cheese stuffed pretzels in the frozen section, and I'd love to make him a healthier version. I guess I could just cut through my pretzel snakes and fill with cheese and close up, then bake as directed, right? That's close to how I've done stuffed crust pizza before (flatten the edge of the dough out, make a ring of cheese, then fold a little over to cover it up), so I'd imagine it would be similar...
8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Something like this...but not... on: November 01, 2009 10:06:16 AM
My boyfriend and I are having our first anniversary on New Years, and I really like these two little books...

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=226651.0

...but I'm having trouble coming up with something that is "us." We met on NYE, right about at midnight and had our first kiss, so NYE is an important theme. We're also very nerdy (video games, computers, etc). I really like the idea of doing something NYE themed, but something in an old school game cartridge would definitely be well received, too...do you think it could be done with an old NES cartridge? Or maybe motherboards as the front and back cover? I'm not sure what I'd use for the inside pages, either...

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! I think this is an adorable idea and I want to really customize it and make it my own but I'm having such a creative block lately. Sad
