Those are all gorgeous!  I haven't used much in the way of fabric for my covers and yours are so beautiful that I'm tempted to try now Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hedgerow Coat from IK question on: October 10, 2007 12:29:29 PM
Thanks, I looked at the chart again after some much needed rest and saw that the cable worked out to be on every 9th row.  It just wasn't clear to me after 32 hours awake lol.  I had originally thought that the cable would just repeat every 12 rows, but that would have put it on the wrong side on some rows.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Hedgerow Coat from IK question on: October 10, 2007 03:10:35 AM
I'm knitting the Hedgerow Coat from the Fall 2007 IK for a friend of mine.  I'm not very good at reading charted patterns and I REALLY need some help from someone who is.

Basically the problem I'm having is I don't know when to repeat the cable on the chart.  You knit row 1-32 and repeat, but after row 12 the only part the chart shows is the center panel.  When am I supposed to put another cable in to it?  From the pictures there's not huge gaps between the cables so I know they're supposed to be in there somewhere.  If anyone can help me wrap my mind around this I'd be so appreciative!  Maybe I'm just not awake enough to figure out how simple it is, but I've tried figuring it out and I'm lost.

That is so sweet!  My mother in law collects ladybugs and I know she'd go ga-ga over this.  Too bad she doesn't like frosting huh?

You did a great job, and I love how you got around doing tons of dark frosting!

I just wanted to chime in and agree with everyone on how awesome this is.  My husband is a huge Transformers fan and I was so excited to see this!  I just picked up the wool for his today Smiley  Thanks so much for sharing your genius!

Great cards everyone!  I love under the rain Tee!

I still have that darn block...I really hope it goes away soon because I hate spending hours on one card and it still not turning out how I envision it!

Enough with the whining though  Wink

I love paint samples, I used them for the backgrounds of the martinis.

Love those hats sggs!

I think I need to make more calorimetrys!  I made one when the pattern first came out and loved it but as I'm prone to do, I only knit it once.
