1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / LV Crocheted Traveling Clothes on: May 09, 2014 10:03:07 PM
I wasn't sure where to post the clothes I crocheted for my LV, so I fig I would post them here. They are my first tiny crochet doll clothes, it was kind of hard working on a small scale. I didn't use any patterns, just sat and crocheted what I wanted it.

I sent my LV April off with a pink nightgown, yellow sundress, and green one piece swimsuit. Everything a girl would need on a long trip.  Smiley

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / April Rain on: April 28, 2014 12:45:03 AM
April Rain, is a tiny little hand sewn felt doll with lots of character. I made her from scarps of felt that I had been saving. Her hair and clothes are made from crochet and she is a bendable doll. She is 6 inches an a half tall and 1 inch wide.

A little bit about her:

A sleep walker, a gummy bear fanatic, loves dancing to electric dance music and is a vegetarian.

Her dislikes are:  moths, clowns, zombies, and Billy goats. Have you seen goats eyes, they are so creepy looking and moths will just eat us felts alive!

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Tom Cat on: April 28, 2014 12:27:30 AM

Tom Cat is hanging out with his pal Jus Scarecrow.

Tom was inspired by the cats from next door. He stands about 8inches tall and is my Sunday mini crochet project. There's no pattern because I made him up as I crocheted along while enjoying the cats running across the yards. Scarecrow was a gift from a friend to go in my garden.
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Spring Pixie on: April 22, 2014 04:57:38 PM
I made this little crochet doll during my week off for Spring break with some dollar store yarns and I think she turned out nice. Pixie clothes are removal, she stands at 6inch talls and almost 2inches wide. I made her to sit in my garden, but I have changed my mind about that. She is much happier in the house where the neighbor's cats can't get her.  Wink

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A Touch Of Irish on: March 23, 2014 07:27:49 PM
I love earrings and I whipped up this pair after I couldn't find my old clover ones. I made two pots of gold, two gold seedbeads, with four leaf clovers at the bottoms for good luck out of baking clay. My day was very good and I met some interesting people because of these earrings and the hat I made for St. Patrick Day.  Smiley
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Just Something Green If You Know What I Mean on: March 23, 2014 06:51:07 PM
For St. Patty Day I crocheted a little hat and attached it to a headband to wear around campus. It turned out to be a very interesting day of fun and laughs.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / First Spring Planting 2014 on: March 23, 2014 06:37:46 PM
So this is my first go at gardening on my own. In the past I watered plants for my parents and friends but I never did any of the real dirty work. So this Sunday afternoon while I had the place to myself I sat on the porch and setup shop. My tools simple, just potting soil, pen, pack of popcisle sticks, five packs of seeds, three ice trays and some leftover foam cups from a BBQ.

After getting a bit messy and settling the newly little foam cups and ice tray pots on the side of the house I took a few photos of all my work. I hung the tomato plant and green pepper from the windows, and below are the to be seedlings home.

Almost forgot inside the pots and trays are:
-Sweet Peas
-Green Beans
-Tomatos
-Eggplant
-Yellow Squash

If there are any errors please let me know first upload here and thanks for looking.

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Hello Craftsters Green Thumbs on: March 14, 2014 09:22:47 PM
Hello craftsters green thumbs! Cheesy

What do you plan on planting in your gardens this spring?

Are there any other newbie gardener this spring like myself?

What is your style of gardening, raised beds, straight in the ground, buckets, or hanging planters?

Do you grow your plants from seeds or buy seedlings?

Any tips for  newbies gardeners?

I will be hanging some hanging planters on the side of the house and a small makeshift raised bed. I plan on growing a tomato plant, and some other vegetables. Tomorrow Im going shopping for seeds, soil and two more hanging planters. Can't wait to hear about what everybody else is planning for spring gardening.
