1  repurposed vintage earring necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by morgantegeler on: February 06, 2015 03:00:20 AM
From broken and unusable to beautiful and wearable. I love my vintage earrings and I have a hard time letting go of the broken and single earrings I have. Finally I found a way to repurpose my broken and unwearable vintage earrings by making a necklace that I love even more. The best part of it all I can wear more than one pair at a time this way. I plan on finding other pieces of my jewelry that I no longer wear and repurpose it so that it doesn't sit and collect dust forever.

2  craft supply spinning rack in CHALLENGE 97 ENTRIES by morgantegeler on: April 07, 2014 04:01:09 PM

I made a craft rack out of this country time lemonade container. Much like a spice rack for the easy of accessing supplies while working on a project. It even spins.

This is a paint pallet made from a eye shadow container and it slides in and out of the container. Also included but not tagged is a side drawer for things like buttons, jewelry findings, and rhinestones.

In this photo you can see there is a side pocket for you scissors a spinning tray for rhinestones and multiple slots for glitter containers.

This is where i put my pencils and paint brushes and i also can use it as a spot for my glue gun. The inside can still hold whatever else i put fabric scraps and paint tubes inside. I don't have a photo of the bottom but I placed cd's on a thick screw so the whole rack can spin for convenience.

3  re-purposed vintage jewelry lamp shade in CHALLENGE 95 ENTRIES by morgantegeler on: February 03, 2014 03:01:14 PM
I love vintage jewelry and have tons of items that are broken, missing their other half, or that have lost jewels.

I couldn't stand to just toss out the still beautiful jewelry, and i couldn't wear it the way it had become. then i thought a lamp shade would look nice. i used wire to string on the beads and just wrapped the metal necklaces around the frame of the shade.

i also used clip-on and screw-back earrings around the rim, so they would dangle and sparkle.

using my scrap vintage jewelry that either was broken or missing pieces i put together a sparkly lamp shade.

my finished lampshade now i need to figure what i can do with the rest of my vintage scrap jewelry.
