1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Forest troll, seedlings and Groot inspired sculpture on: August 14, 2014 04:52:33 AM
I got asked the other week by my cousin to make a little Groot (Guardians of the Galaxy) for his fiance, for their anniversary
I'd originally made some seedling creatures that made him think of the idea.
Super excited to finish this Smiley
Pot was up-cycled from a old hand cream tub as i couldn't get hold of the right sized terracotta pot Sad

*Please excuse the "Phalic" nature of the work in progress Groots...i didn't realise until after i'd made them and went to take a photo, luckily no-one will ever see them once they're in their pots!)

There's also a forest troll and some seedlings or "Potheads" as they've become known.

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A day of firsts-koi painting on: July 31, 2014 02:08:35 AM
Yesterday i tried a few things for the first time

- Painting a large-ish canvas
- Painting Koi fish and a peony flower
- Painting in a "Tattoo" style
- Using acrylics properly for the first time since high school 4/5 years ago.

Quite chuffed with how it turned out.
Took in total around 5 hours Smiley

7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / First ever nail art attempts on: July 05, 2014 04:08:26 AM
I'm one of those people that's never had any nails as i've always chewed them off (Ew, i know)
I've had a nail art kit sitting about for about 2 years now as i'd planned on giving up the nasty habit and being able to finally be a real girl and paint pretty nailart.
(Or not so pretty as my personal tastes are more creepy/dark)
After talking to my sister who's very beauty obsessed about her starting a career in nails i decided to finally give it a go and paint my own.

These are the results Smiley

Here's my little kit
(That i very quickly abandoned for something i felt more comfortable with...acrylic paint!
I fured as i won't actually be wearing them, they were merely for practicing the paint would be fine and it's all been sealed in with a big layer of clear nail varnish)

All set up and ready to go!
At this point i dived into my folder of nail art pictures i've saved over the years...felt a little overwhelmed. Gave up and just winged it!.

What do yous think?
Any themed pieces you think i should try?
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Childrens portraits - Drawing on: June 22, 2014 04:39:00 AM
Spent a ridiculous amount of time on this piece, then it blew away down the street in the wind and i had to stand on it to stop it being run over by a car which crinkled the paper Sad
Anyway, this is a piece for my Cousins and her man of there 4 little people Smiley

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Animal, Dragon and Faux butterfly taxidermy Paintings (11 Pics) on: June 10, 2014 05:35:25 PM
I should REALLY be going to bed, but i just want to share these with people ^_^
Been painting/crafting close 15 hours solid today and just noticed it's 01:30 and i have noone to show of my new works too ;____;
I know some of you folks are night owls!
So far completed 8 A5 Paintings, plus one painting/3d faux butterfly taxidermy

Tattoo Design for a pal

Faux Taxidermy Butterfly

6" Wingspan entirely hand-drawn and painted with little handmade fluffy bodies.
Still to pick up a black 8"x8" box frame for this one so that it looks the real deal.

What do yous think? Any suggestions for new pieces?
