11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / HELP reconstructing a vest! on: January 01, 2007 06:04:36 PM
Hey everyone! I've never reconstructed something before so I wondered if you all could help me a bit! I have this sleeveless shirt/vest thing and I think it'd be a shame to toss out, even though I won't wear it like it is now.

Any ideas how to make it into a cute vest?
Any help is very much appreciated!!

13  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My own army of owls! on: December 29, 2006 06:10:30 PM
Owls seem to be really popular! Well I have my very own little army of them (inspired by another thread on here)

The two little ones are made using the japanese pattern floating around on Craftster. The two bigger ones are my own patterns.
The candle is to show the size. Smiley

I hope you like them! Tell me what you think! I'm still working on finding /creating a pattern that I like the best.

I got the idea from another thread around here somewhere....I made heating pads for my friends in the shape of a penguin! I really like them--here's how they turned out:

let me know what you think!
15  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Cat Sculpture << UPDATE--finished! (img heavy) on: July 30, 2006 09:38:24 PM
I made this tonight. It's based off a big scultpure I saw in Belfast.  It's not cured yet, but once it is I plan on painting it too. Let me know what you think! :-)

UPDATE!

I cured, painted, and sealed my cat today. I really like how it turned out--it's supposed to look like I carved it out of stone, so hopefully I achieved that!

16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Vinyl Tree Messenger Bag on: July 16, 2006 08:41:33 PM
Hey everyone! This is my first attempt with vinyl and I really like what I came out with! I designed the tree myself and let me tell you it was a PAIN (literally) to stitch through two layers of vinyl around the designs. my fingers still hurt haha. Let me know what you think!

17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Flower tote w/ ruffle on: July 11, 2006 07:43:32 PM
so today I was determined to make a purse or something, as I haven't had time to do anything in a while. I just kind of winged it and this is what I came up with:

feedback is appreciated as always!
18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Placemat Purse! on: June 13, 2006 12:26:34 PM
One of my favorite ways to make handbags is definitely the simplest of them all. A placemat in half with seams stitched right up the sides and a handle added. The ends are already finished and perfect. They take like...5 minutes. Maybe 10 if you hand-stitch the handle on! Great for gifts and so easy!

19  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tshirt Purse on: June 13, 2006 12:22:25 PM
I made this purse out of an old Girl Scouts tshirt and a plain white tee. Super simple, but super cute!

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New purses + Kanzashi flower (img heavy) on: June 12, 2006 11:33:58 AM
Here are two new purses I made. They're similar and use the same fabric, but they are in fact different purses haha! They're both my own patterns that I created and using fabric I got for ridiculously cheap (that's the best kind!)

You can't really see the kanzashi flower on there that I made. Here's a better pic of that:

It's a pin so I can wear it on different purses and clothes, and even in my hair!  Grin

Inside pocket:

Here's the other purse:

And both purses plus the flower in my hair!
