1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / need Loom knitted baby hat help! on: February 28, 2015 02:08:08 PM
Hi guys!! I hope this is the right place for this question. Anywho...

I got asked to knit a hat for his 2 month old son. I normally make my hats on the knifty knitter, which normally is fine but I cant seem to find what size loom i should be using. Ive looked on multiple websites and blogs, but they all are telling me different sizes. What size have you guys used before for baby hats?

Thanks in advance!!!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Havent been on here in awhile, but I've been knitting like crazy! on: February 24, 2015 10:57:59 PM
I had a craft show that i was vending at. I had about 17 beanies and around 10 scarves.

These hats were only a portion of what I had. Most of those beanies, I had made specifically for the craft fair. Smiley

This was an experiment and I ended up making a drink cozy. thought it was cute...

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Yet another hat for a friend. love this yarn! on: November 13, 2014 11:41:32 PM
Just like the title says. This was for a friend and old coworker of mine. He originally wanted a self striping purple to black yarn. Surprisingly its hard to find! I did have this yarn though. I love that the colors in this hat are a bit muted.

First tam i have ever made! Did it on a circular loom. I wish it was a little longer, but I like the way it turned out anyway.
6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Kahleesi GoT halloween costume Fabric on: September 09, 2014 11:19:40 PM
So, I decided this year to get a really awesome halloween costume this year. I never get to dress up and havent really celebrated Halloween in the past 10 years or so. I decided on Kahleesi's Qarth dress from Game of Thrones..

My friend and fellow Craftster Squidget is putting it together for me. We got the fabric and sponged gold paint on it to make it look closer to the actual dress it self. We mixed metallic gold paint and gold glitter to make the gold really pop.  The fabric is a really pale blue that i got on sale. Score! Tongue Will post more pictures when i have them!

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Gift for a friend! New to calligraphy on: August 10, 2014 04:23:13 PM
One of my friends was diagnosed with lung cancer recently. I wanted to do something for her that wasnt super emotional (since she isnt the overly emotional type), but would give her a sense of strength when she needs it most. I found a quote online and put it on some paper made by Tibetan monks. The shell printed on the paper is the symbol for victory. The quote says " We gain strength, courage, and confidence by each experience in whice we really stop to look fear in the face. We must do that which we think we cannot".

Thanks for looking Smiley

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Newest hat I finished for a friend! on: July 13, 2014 09:44:04 PM
Finished this about an hour ago. In love with this yarn. I made a scarf for the friend out of the same yarn, so now she has a set!!!

This was the scarf i made for her awhile back.

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: Unfortunately, the coworker i made this for didnt want a slouchy beanie. She wanted a slouchy beret but didnt tell me. Put a Etsy page up for it but meh, its just sitting here.  Embarrassed
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / New hat for my co-worker! on: July 05, 2014 11:11:34 PM
So I attempted a "gradient" of sorts. Didn't quite turn out the way i wanted, but i like it none the less.

This hat was part of a set. With this scarf.
