1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Best Sewing machine for me! Help and Advise Please on: December 18, 2013 07:25:03 AM
Hi,

I am quite new to sewing and I am looking for some advise please...

I am going to make some dog toys which I need to be able to sew through the thickness of a thin piece of nylon and 8mm thick bungee cord.

What would be the best machine I can get for this which is user friendly? I am looking to spend about 200-400.

Also which type of thread would be best to use? And I have been looking at the different types of needles and there seems to be a large variety which one would be best?

I have been looking at the machine Frister and Rossmann 404 however doesn't exactly state the thickness it can work on?

Any advise would be much appreciated !

Here is a picture of what I am trying to achieve!

Thank you in advance !
