1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Altered Label (tag) swap 2 (signup now till 10 August: send out 25 August 2008) on: August 01, 2008 11:09:44 AM

2  U.K. AND IRELAND / SCOTLAND / Re: Aberdeen-ish, anyone? on: July 19, 2008 04:01:45 PM
Seattle quilt is good for fabrics and they offer some really great quilting classes.  They actually offer some classes other than quilting as well, for example there is going to be a beginners introduction to needle sculpted doll making in august.
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Finished Baby Quilt from Last Minute Gifts on: July 19, 2008 03:58:34 PM
Great job.  All I can think is that all those points in the middle must be a nightmare!  It is bad enough when you have 16 points in the middle to deal with!
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Fernel - the Forest Fairy on: July 16, 2008 01:08:07 PM
Thanks guys.  She is my first doll so she is by no means perfect but its a good starting ground to build on.
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Fernel - the Forest Fairy on: July 14, 2008 11:18:53 AM
I am pleased to introduce to you Fernel, a forest fairy.

She has a fully needle sculpted face including glass eyes and eyelids. She is jointed at the hips and knees allowing her to sit (or stand if in a doll stand).

She is holding a walking stick in one hand with a rather large flower on the end and in the other hand she is holding a very delicate flower. She also has delicate forest green wings with seed bead detail.

I had fun experimenting with dye as well for her "hair" and the foliage on the flower walking stick.

I shall be teaching here at a class in Aberdeen, Scotland, over 2 Saturday's in August.

Some closer shots:

Sorry the pictures aren't great - I just couldn't get good lighting and I needed to get the doll out of the door that afternoon.

Also sorry if she is in the wrong category - wasn't sure where I should post this.

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: A Book of Hope.... (picture plentiful!!) on: July 05, 2008 11:31:30 AM
This book is absolutly gorgeous and such a wondeful idea.  It will certainly inspire hope in the winner.

Great job everyone!
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Bright baby quilt on: March 30, 2008 01:49:27 PM
Here is a baby quilt top that I whipped up today.  Its a very very simple one, which was a nice change for me.

Do you think the colours are unisex?  There is someone at work that is having a baby and they don't want to know if its a boy or a girl, and I was wondering if this quilt is unisex enough or should I whip up another one?

Comments and criticisms appreciated.
