13  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery - April 2007 in The Swap Gallery by shooting star on: April 16, 2007 01:07:31 PM
Here are the fabulous pieces of art work that I recieved from xladyluckx.  They are stenciled records and I love them to pieces.  I think that the pheonix one is my favourite though.  These will take pride of place on the wall in my new place!

Thanks so much again for the personal swap and making such a fabulous job on the records xladyluckx!  I hope to get the chance to swap with you again in the future.

14  Robot amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shooting star on: April 03, 2007 11:48:41 AM
I did a personal swap with xladyluckx for some painted records (which I am eagerly awaiting the postman to deliver!).  We agreed that I would make her an amigurumi in return and upon asking if there was anything in particular that she would like she pointed me in the direction of the pattern in Craft magazine that she particularly adored.  So this without further ado, here is the little robot guy that I crocheted up from the pattern:

15  Alien Amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by shooting star on: March 28, 2007 11:58:06 AM
In the wishlist Feb swap I claimed Silver Ilix for an amigurumi pal and I gave her themes to pick from and one of the themes she picked was aliens.  So this is the alien amigurumi pal I came up with for her.

By the way that teddy in the background is a big one, so its not a case of the alien being tiny, lol.

I used no patter for him.  I kind of just winged it and that was what I came up with.  I quite like the result Smiley

I particularly like the belly button and the thumbs that I added Cheesy

16  poseable sock monkey in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by shooting star on: February 18, 2007 11:45:35 AM
Heres the poseable sock monkey that I made Banga.  I don't really like sock monkey, as I think that they look kinda creepy, but I had fun making this little man (monkey) heehee.  Here he is:

I don't know if Banga has given him a name yet or not.  She was also thinking of giving him to her nephew  Smiley

Thanks for looking folks

17  capelet and legwarmers in Crochet: Completed Projects by shooting star on: February 18, 2007 11:41:56 AM
I crocheted up a capelet and a pair of really soft legwarmers for Banga in the IYP5 swap.

I used a pattern for the capelet but the legwarmers were my own pattern.

Sorry you can't really see the details in the legwarmers but unfortunatly thats what black yarn does....

Comments and critisms more than welcome Smiley

edited to add: The capelet pattern can be found here: http://www.interweave.com/knit/books/Wrap_Style/chanson_crochet.asp

Finally I've managed to get pics of the wonderful packages Banga sent to me.  She completely spoiled me and I just want to say a big thank you to her Cheesy

Without further ado, here are all the goodies:

2 t-shirts:

notelets, I especially love the ones with my initial on them!  They are all gorgeous though Cheesy :

yarn and gorgeous smelling bath salts.  This yarn is begging to be used on something to treat myself with Wink:

My paperbag scrapbooking kit, there are lots of papers, emphameria, stamps, gliter glue, edging scissors, embosing stamp, dragonfly punch, stickers, ribbon, embroidery floss to sew my book together and of course the paper bags!:

and lots of yummy american sweets Cheesy:

Thank you so much for everything Banga.  I am planning my first scrap book already but I'm making sure I know exactly what I want to do before I start so as I can make a good job Wink

Thank you again.
