2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / supplies swap? on: May 28, 2006 05:38:43 PM
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but it looked like the best place to put this...  Huh

I live in a reeeeeeeeeeeeaally small town, with no way to get out, lol.
Also, I have been scammed too many times on internet shops to buy from them, I'm weary. Sad

I'm looking for supplies. Namely, gothic/punk fabrics (tartan, camo) and plain and grommet ribbon, and lace. I've exhausted what my grandma sent me, lol. So if anyone can swap me for these, I can send you something I've made in return for some of these things! Help me out? I'll love you foreeeeeeever...

I'm reconstructing a purse I got at the thrift store. It's a leather type fabric, and I'm painting it with acrylic paint. Any ideas on how to seal it so the paint doesn't chip/crack/flake?

thanks in advance Tongue

9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Morse Zig Zag on: August 10, 2005 11:35:44 AM
Okay, i didn't know where to post this ---  Huh Huh Huh
I recently bought a Morse Push Button Zig Zag machine from the local thrift store, and I even downloaded and printed the maual, but it isn't helping me at all! I figured out how to thread the machine, and thread the bobbin, but I can't get the bobbin thread to come up through the needle plate! It's a side loading bobbin, which I've never worked with before. So if anyone can help me it would be appreciated!

10  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Question About A Sewing Machine on: July 26, 2005 07:28:03 PM
I didn't know where to post this  Undecided...
I bought an old sewing machine from a thrift store, and have NO IDEA how to get the thread from the bobbin up throught the needle plate to be able to sew! It's a Morse 600, and I figured out how to thread it, but I might not have done the bobbin properly... that's how I figure I missed a part that would push the thread up through the needle plate...

If anyone can help me I'd be so grateful! The only place I could find was online manuals... but I have no money for them.  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
