351  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: What do I give up first? Going vegan. on: June 23, 2005 08:02:17 PM
Becoming vegan is really a wonderfull commitment.  You rule!  I hope things are going well.  My advice is to focus not so much on what you are giving up but in exploring new thing that you've never tried before.
A lot of people find that thier food world gets bigger not smaller when goiung veg/vegan.  There are a lot of resources online for recipes, shopping and such.  If you or anyone reading this has vegan questions send me a message!  I've been vegan a long time and would love to lend support.
352  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Felt Glasses/Sunglasses Case on: June 22, 2005 01:02:23 PM
I pinned the design peices to the front panel and stiched them on the sewing machine before I stitched the front panel to the back.  I did a lot of stopping to pivot the needle as there are a lot of curves.  I'm glad you like them!
353  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: No more butt apologies!! You crafters are Gorgeous!!!! on: June 22, 2005 12:19:06 PM
That's right!  All shapes and sizes make up this wacky wonderful world. No apologies needed.  Be big!  Be little!  Be crafty!
354  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Felt Glasses/Sunglasses Case on: June 22, 2005 12:14:09 PM
This is my first project post, hope it sticks!

I made both of these glasses cases for gifts.  Super easy and cute.  One was for my friends 27th Birthday (Saturn Returns) it has an exrta pocket inside.  For closure I sewed a ribbon to the top flap and a vintage button to the front. A button hole would be good too or velcro.

355  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: vegan swap? on: June 21, 2005 02:21:20 PM
I would loooove to do this one but I'm a newbie and don't qualify yet.  I've been Vegan for 14 years!  I'll participate in one as soon as I am able.  Maybe the next time 'round.
356  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: how do you think craft challenge #1 went? on: June 20, 2005 11:33:26 PM
The 5 from a dollar store theme was great.  I just came across Craftster as the voting was completing.  Maybe we can repeat this theme same time next year?  (The craft challenge aniversary) for the newbies?
357  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: Little Tiny Challenge on: June 17, 2005 05:20:51 PM
This really has me thinking.  I'll do it!
358  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: Felt Challenge? on: June 17, 2005 05:18:31 PM
I love felt!  I love cheap crafting and re-using the most but I don't know if there needs to be a limit.  I think the main rule should be that the majority of the finished item is from felt.  It takes as much creativity to use a little as a lot.  It would be cool to see big things too.  I have a bunch of scraps of felt.  I imagine I would use less than the equivalent of 3 sheets but more than 3 colors.  Just some thoughts, I'll do it what ever is decided!
359  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: Necktie Challenge on: June 16, 2005 10:02:36 AM
I think a neck tie challenge is a great idea!  There are so many out there going to waste.  I just got a some at a rummage sale and have a few ideas I've been thinking on.  I would love to do this for a challenge.
