1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Band buttons/pins? on: July 08, 2006 08:32:20 AM
The short answer is no. Basically, if you didn't create it/draw it  and you don't have permission to use it, then you can't sell it. Those people on eBay are breaking the law, really. The best thing to do is make up your own pins and your own designs. You can make buttons with the logos/band names on them for yourself and your friends, but you just can't sell them. (I made myself a bunch of Harry Potter buttons. Tongue)

Harry Potter! <3

But yeah, thanks for telling me. I was wondering XD.

Ahh! People from Akron DO exist on this board! lol.

I'm from the Kenmore area. No, I'm not a hick. Or White-trash. I'm not from here XD. And we're moving to Firestone Park soon ^_^.

ANYWAY... interesting to see so many people so close to me. I just went to JoAnn's a few days ago... it's only 10-15 minutes away XP.

Yeah, only problem with me is that I'm like, 15. And you all are probably older. So, you know. Doesn't work out too well for me.

Yeah. I kind of really love those dresses. ....severely.

I absolutely adore the first one! Especially since it has tulle ^_^. And also the fact that I'm a sucker for polka dots. I like the second one as well... the fabric is pretty much awesome, and the bow adds a cute touch.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: oh I wish I wore ties more often..... on: June 28, 2006 09:47:55 PM
Indeed; gorgeous fabric. And wonderful job... coulda fooled me if you would've told me you bought it Cheesy.

But yes, how do you go about making a tie? I've never even thought of making one, but I think it'd be a good idea to make home-sewn ones. *nods*
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: reversable wrap skirt on: June 28, 2006 09:45:52 PM

Amagad, I love it! Love it, love it love it. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Kay. I'm good.

But seriously! That is a b-e-a-utiful skirt... I love the reversable-ness (if that's a word Undecided) and the fabric is... yes. Wonderful.

Tonight's Mission: Clone this skirt. Even though I have no fabric.
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: T-shirt quilt! on: June 23, 2006 12:58:00 AM
Oh my jesus.

That is too cute... and cozy. I could go for some sleep with one of them right now. And you really can't tell that the squares don't match up unless you point it out AND spend too much time looking. I love the Elroy patch... I'm definitely collecting any old T-shirts now.

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Band buttons/pins? on: June 22, 2006 04:28:22 PM
Okay, I'm not exactly sure if this is a stupid question or not, BUT....

I'm going to get into making my own pins and selling them, and so far, I have all my own designs made with PSP. However, I was wondering, is it legal to make buttons/pins with band logos or names on them? I'm not exactly sure... I've seen people make DIY band pins and sell them on ebay, but is there a copyright law or anything not permitting that? I'm not sure how that works, and I couldn't really find anything on the board or google. Thanks to anyone that knows Smiley.
