171  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Circle Throw on: February 12, 2009 02:16:41 PM
Here is a circle throw I made for my IYP partner.  The pattern can be found in The Story of Homespun book, Leisure Arts #4599 by Lionbrand and Leisure Arts.  I found it a fun, easy pattern that works up quickly (I'm picturing next year's Xmas presents Wink).

174  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / ~* Tree of Life for Im Sew Silly *~ on: January 28, 2009 12:17:34 PM
Ah, I all love the tree of life pendants (and can not equal the greatness of the many featured on craftster). I finally got around to making a smaller version (mine have all been big hangings until now).  I made this tree for Im Sew Silly in the OWS 42; she requested one red bead to represent the forbidden fruit.

in this shot I was trying to show the colors but the lighting was bleh! Tongue

175  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered Pillowcases for AsphaltQueen on: January 25, 2009 02:54:30 PM
Here are pillowcases I made for AsphaltQueen in the OWS42.
It reminded me why I love embroidery (especially french knots).
It's fun, satisfying, pretty, and a great way to listen to audio books.

180  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Organizer Appreciation Swap on: November 20, 2008 07:42:45 AM
NOTE: This swap will happen AFTER the holiday season...for many are too busy crafting gifts, winter woolies, baking treats, etc.

I thought I would go ahead and put this on the board so you could think about if you like the idea, discuss sizes and timeline, and have a spot ready.

Okay here is my idea......
ORGANIZER APPRECIATION!
You know you organizers deserve some love. Wink

This is a special swap for those who have organized swaps.
So it will only open to organizers who have completed one swap.
You will have to provide the link of a swap you organized.

In this swap we will craft....
  • one item related to your partners swap (for you super-organizers,the questionnaire will allow for listing your top 5 swaps)
  • one item related to your swap (again for you super-organizers,the questionnaire will allow for listing your top 5 swaps)
  • and one surprise item derived from stalking, secretive or blatant (because who doesn't like to stalk)
.

So...what do you think? Grin
