Hello HPCers! This witch has been busy revamping her kitchen. You see my oven went out (it's been on its last legs for awhile), and in true Gryffindor fashion, I decided to conquer the quest of redoing everything! So I'm painting cabinets, getting granite countertops (ordered & got a super sweet deal), new floors (for the whole house), finally doing a backsplash, new wall colors, a table redo...just everything. I've dreamed of tackling this project for a long time, but never could convince my hubby. Well you know what, I just decided it was just time! (no worries, he's on board now)
Challenge: Madam Puddifoot's VDay Tea Party SPEW: n/a House: Gryffindor Project Name: Sweet Nothings Fruit Dip Brief Description: I make this dip every year on Valentine's Day (and many more days, because I adore it so.) Super simple to make: Mix together 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese (softened) and 1 (7oz) jar of marshmallow fluff, and serve. See! Told you it was simple....and delish. Okay, off to enjoy some tea & fruit before whipping up my Vday dinner. Wishing everyone a magical Valentine's day! Project Picture:
Madam Puddifoot is preparing for her Valentine Tea Party. She has requested help from Hogwarts students. She needs tons of decorations, anything with hearts, golden cupids, or lace. She also needs as many teapots and teacups she can get her hands on. Further, she is also searching for some new recipes for tea mixes and tea treats.
Students, your challenge is to create an item that Madam Puddifoot has requested. Anything with hearts, golden cupids, or lace will fit the bill. Teapots and teacups of any kind will do too; some examples are hand-painted teapots or repurposed teacups. And tea mixes and tea treats with recipes will also work. Can't wait to see what you create. Have fun!
This challenge is for students looking to earn extra points for their house; you CANNOT combine this challenge with any other class or challenge1. Once you complete this challenge, you may snag your Madam Puddifoot Badge below.

Hello fabulous crocheters! I thought for 2014 we could have a Wool-Eater-Along. For those of you who have not tried a Wool-Eater pattern yet, I think you will find it tons of fun. The Wool-Eater (aka Bavarian Stitch, Catherine Wheel w/Post Stitch, Wheel Stitch) is a great way to use up oddballs and destash (because who doesn't need a bit of destash every once in awhile). You can use this pattern to create blankets, motifs, pillows, potholders, and more. I hope you join me, I'll get pics up of my first-ever Wool-Eater blankie soon. I can't wait to see everyone's color palettes and creations.
I have been busy! Not crafting though, in fact I have finished the total of ONE item!!! I'll be happy when everything settles back into its normal routine, which will be Tuesday for me. Fingers crossed I can sit down and craft, craft, craft tomorrow! First up, finish jennie's tutorial...sorry for the delay jennie
