Thanks for the offer to translate Supersandra!  I may take you up on that at some point!  And sorry, it's taken me so long to reply.  October, November and December were all equally crazy, to say the least!  A bit more pink and green news, here is a holiday decorating article from the San Francisco Chronicle, I was included in this month:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2006/12/06/HOG5RMON4T1.DTL

Maybe some of the ideas will come in handy next year!  My last name is used in the article, so when you read, "Elizabeth Hauser," that's me.

XOXO,
Elizabeth Ingrid

Hi!

To answer funkyfuzz's ultra-fine glitter question, yes, you can find it at Michael's!  It comes in clear, glass vials that hold .53 ounces of glitter.  Please use ultra-fine so that your lips don't get irritated!  The large surface area of regular glitter would feel like grains of sand.  Not so fun to kiss!  Speaking of which, Happy New Year!!!  Hope you all have someone nice to smooch at the stroke of midnight.

XOXO,
Elizabeth Ingrid

tivaclare and BeeSting, thanks-a-bunch!  Yes, please don't remind me of what rent is in my neighborhood.  Yikes!!!

TeriH, I'm so happy your niece liked my book and that you like the writing style!  Yay!  My favorite craft happens to be the Rapunzel Wigs too.

I just entered my apartment in the Apartment Therapy "I've Got Color" Contest:

http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/fall-colors-2006-east/17-elizabeth-ingrids-sparkly-splendor-013386

I knew there would be some backlash since I already got exposure on HGTV and in AnAn magazine but it's been really fun reading what people love AND hate about my place.

If you have a chance, check it out and vote for your favorite entries!

Sounds like everyone is having a fun time being super kissable!  And Summerbabi, I love that you used cinnamon honey...sounds so yummy that I would probably forget and eat all of my lip gloss!

I'm not sure how long this concoction will last but I can honestly say that I've had a batch that's been OK for close to three years.  I just use it sparingly because I went a little crazy with the micro-glitter!

Those pictures of the gloss and KniT-cHIck are sooooo cute!  Thanks for posting them.

Hi!  Back with updated pics...this time from the Japanese fashion magazine anan (see initial post).  Thanks again for all of your uplifting compliments.  Here are answers to your questions and comments:

A Modern Mantra:  I'm not sure if they will air the episode again but you can always request it if you have HGTV on Demand.  As for the colors, no I really don't get tired of the bright palette however I do get frustrated with all of the ideas I'm not able to pursue due to lack of space and time!  This is something I think most craftsters can relate to though!

Kikigirl:  Thanks for checking out my website.  So happy you enjoyed it!

Michelle Giordano:  I bet you saw it on HGTV Canada.  They have a different schedule than in the US.  I can only imagine how cute you and your girls must look with sparkly tiaras and feather dusters!

XOXO!
Elizabeth

Thank you for all of the lovely compliments!  Sorry, it's taken me a while to respond but I do have exciting news.  Two weeks ago, the Japanese fashion magazine anan was here and took photos of my apartment for an upcoming article entitled, "Places I Want to Live!"  I believe the issue will come out in September and feature apartments in Paris and New York.  I'm thrilled to be included and have such fun publicity abroad...hopefully they will mention my craft books too!

As for your questions and comments,

thumbkin - The color is called Season's Promise (# 38-D) from Ace Hardware Paints however I upgraded to a Benjamin Moore eggshell mix for durability (hue stayed exactly the same).

jmesdiylounge - The photos from anan will definitely show just how pink and green my apartment really is.  Although the magazine will only be available in Japan, they will send me a copy so I will update in September!

Keep on sparklin'!

So incredibly gorgeous!  I love them both.  The setting for the garden nymph is so sweet, next to that petunia.  And the Thai silk on the mermaid is perfect.
