I'm new to making stuffed animals and tend to learn everything the hard way (although I'm sure reading a best practices for plush is in my near future). So, I just tried to start sewing a nail bunny and am having some troubles. I have looked up a lot of patterns for bunnies to best figure out:
1) the best pattern, and
2) the correct order of putting this together.
I have gone through two drafts, but I guess I'm not quite sure how to achieve the final bunny shape I am looking for: http://th00.deviantart.net/images/300W/large/indyart/indymisc/JTHM_NailBunny.jpg
This is the most successful version I've made: http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5500/11192175655_87a1ceb5cc_c.jpg
Forgive the face. I decided to paint a face on "real quick" and it backfired as the bunny stuck his face right into his paw and smeared it.
I'd like to add the nail, but I'm not sure the best method of anchoring a (maybe) wire-framed object into a plush animal. Seems dangerous. I would like to make the ears stand up, too, but haven't got there yet.
Secondly, I haven't yet been able to figure out a good shape to make the arms lay down. Thoughts?
