I searched for an answer to my question but came up with nothing. I'm a newbie attempting to make the garden scarf. Everything looks good until I get to the tr in round four of flower b. When I make the tr I get a whole in the middle. What am I doing wrong?

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Oh Christmas Tree on: November 22, 2005 04:45:42 PM
I got this tree at the .99 cents store and wondered what I was going to do with it.  Here's what I thought up.  I took pieces of all the acrylic or cotton in my yarn stash (none of my good wool LOL), made lil ball ornaments and put them on the tree. The star is made of Fimo clay. I also used silver and red lanyard as trimming.

It's not entirely knitting but it involves wool  Cheesy

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Toe up socks or from the top down? on: October 24, 2005 04:09:08 AM
I just finished knitting up my first sock. It was fun but it got me thinking, would it be faster to knit from the toe up. Sock knitters, which do you prefer? Toe up or from the top to the toe?

So I just finished Headline News from S&BN.  The beginning directions for the brim are confusing me though.

Pickup 7 sts before and 7 sts after hat C0

Ok so is there going to be a big gap bet the 7 before and after? I searched for it but didn't find anything on the brim. Can someone please help?

I simply love this hat!

But it's a crochet pattern. I don't know how to crochet. How would I go about changing this to a knitting pattern?
