2  Teardrop Purse Help in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by ADHDCraftster on: August 09, 2005 11:40:47 AM
Hello fellow craftsters!

I LUV this purse, but dont want to spend $27 on it.  Could anyone help me out with how they went about doing this?  I cant tell if it's knit or crochet ( I can do both), what kind of yarn they perhaps used or how they made it bumpy...

Any help will be much appreciated.  Ok, I guess it's ironstone cotton, which answers the bumpy question.

Picture time!!

I made it to match this top:

Thanks for the inspiration and the great idea!

Thos were the EXACT same handles I used too, but I casted on more stitches, so the purse was a lot wider, and when I placed the handles on with a yarn needle, I scrunched the top of the bag so the bottom of the bag was bigger than the top.  But I think I scrunched too much and I attached the handles to the body of the bag so tightly and stitched the sides up all the way that my opening is only big enough to fit my hand in.  :-(
I am going to try this again because it's not like it took that long to knit up the handbag anyways.
