Cool idea!  When you open it, is it really tight when you look at individual pages?

What I like about what you did (besides it looking awesome) is that it looks like it is much less likely that the pieces would move around, which can also happen.

As a side note, a fun thing to do (and totally dorky) is to make a Settlers soundtrack.  Songs that go with pieces of the game.  Such as "She's a Brickhouse", "We built this city", "Fields of Gold", "Riding through the desert on a horse with no name", etc.  It makes for even more fun when playing the game!

I like it!  Makes me want to go to thrift shops looking for bags that I can buy and cut up!  Did you just attach the cover to the paper by sewing, or did you also somehow glue the leather to the paper or cardboard for the cover?

I sent the goddessess journal out this week.  My deep apologies for taking so long.

I used a 2x4 piece off wood, but a brick would work.  I poured hot water over it (this is a 2 person job) and as the record got a little bendable I held it in shape until it cooled off.  What  I've found from doing record bowls is that some records  melt and bend different then others, so maybe that is affecting your efforts.  I hope it works out for you b/c I really like mine.

Mjadams sent my "Smile" journal back to me because it had started to fall apart.  Sad  I had made it by hand and hadn't used strong enough paper and design to with hold all of the shipping (I've never had to deal with that before!)  I couldn't come up with a good permenant fix that would withstand the rest of the shipping and crafting.  So I decided to attach it all together with Duct tape!  (someone add that to the list of what you can do with Duct tape)  This way if it falls a part again, whoever has it can fix it with duct tape.  Hopefully duct tape makes you smile (I once heard of a camp activity that you can do where you duct tape someone to a wall!)

I finished the Oriental themed journal and sent it out today (I know, a little late).  I did a mind map/ web type thing about what I liked that was oriental.  It was a fun way to organize my thoughts about the topic.  I recieved the Imagination journal for this month....so many directions to go.

I sent joyousbohemian's journal about Freedom to shylittlegoddess today.  I had fun working on the journal and thinking about freedom.  I didn't get a chance to scan anything I did.  It works better reading it in person anyways, and everyone is going to see this one, so I didn't scan it.   I didn't work on the cover.  I wanted to, but it was a little intemidating working on someone elses cover.
