3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Little Green Dragon on: March 04, 2014 09:50:11 PM
Heres one of the dragons Ive been working on over the past month or so, He didnt pass quality control due to the amount of dust that got stuck in the glaze as it was drying, Im going to try and see if I can sand it down or something but until then he gets to hang out with me as my new personal necklace.

He is made out of Premo clay and is wrapped around a half marble thing. He is about an inch total in height.
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Mario Legos on: December 23, 2013 12:51:53 PM
For my youngest brothers Christmas gift I decided to try and make a Mario Bob omb out of Premo and sculpey 3, it turned out to be quick and easy so I made a second one and a Mushroom.

I made all three into Lego compatible figures by pressing the feet of the Bob ombs and the base of the mushroom onto a Lego so they had the right size dent then I took the off and backed them.
I used a paint pen to paint the white onto the figures and a black marker to put the eyes onto the mushroom.
The tops of the bob ombs and the white of the mushroom are made out of glow in the dark clay .

For wrapping I downloaded some cute little papercraft boxes from Nintendo-Papercraft
http://nintendo-papercraft.com/

I stuck them all in their boxes and then into the Christmas tree they went   Grin
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Girly Dragon on: December 10, 2013 04:12:05 PM
This is the gift I made for my youngest sister for Christmas, she loves dragons almost as much as I do so Im sure she will love it.

This little dragon is made out of Fimo Clay and Sculpy Premo glow-in-the-dark clay, her eyes are little crystals or something (I found then in a box of fake gems) I was worried that they would melt in the oven but they didnt.

The dragon is about a inch and a half to two inches (depending on the side you measure) long and all of half a inch tall.

I need to make a few more for family members who play Magic: the Gathering so I decided to test and see how well this design hold D20s, Turns out it works rather well, Ill just need to adjust the wings a bit to hold the dice better.

6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Geeky crafter from Nor Cal on: November 14, 2013 12:25:33 AM
HI Im Tiffany, a 22 year old crafter from North California. Im a long time Lurker (constantly have found myself on this site for at least 3+ years) and have finally decided to join because Im interested in joining swaps at some point so I need to get the one month and 15(?) posts out of the way  Tongue

I suffer from crafty ADD but some of the things I do most often are:
Illustrations (marker, watercolor, color pencil, and some digital)
Sewing (not as much as Id like because I suck at it but Ill never give up)
Jewelry (mostly chain necklaces or feather stuff but Im starting to do some more wire wrap stuff)
Paper crafts (mostly on the illustration side)
And polymer clay dragons.

Im sure theres more that I just cant think of without going upstairs.
I am the proud Aunty of two little red headed boys, and am happily dating a Gamer/math geek. I hope that joining Crafter will help give me a push to craft all sorts of geeky stuff for the guys in my life (or to do trades for the things I cant make for them.
