6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Chain maille rosary....need opinions! on: October 14, 2005 04:14:11 AM
Well congratulations to you!  Grin

Your stuff is always amazing Hawkwolf! I grew up Catholic but as soon as i saw the chain maille rosary, i pictured it hanging from the rearview mirror of an Italian taxi for protection rather than it being used for reciting the rosary. It is stunning and would certainly encourage the owner to show off his faith.

unfortunately to my extreme annoyance, my temporary city does not stock regular guages of wire. theres the really skinny stuff that pen springs are made of which just don't cut the mustard and really unflexible thick wires that just break (boo!)

Try a hardware store... that's where I got my wire!  Hardware stores always carry the stuff (even the little stores!)... OR if that doesn't work, try a fishing store!

aw thanks for the suggestion mangosplash! but i'm in a little city in india and if there's a home depot out here, i'd like it to come out from hiding! i've looked for wires everywhere, people look at me like 'what the hell do i need that for?' like as if i just asked for drugs and/or weapons for a heist.
