2  Great Granny Project Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Mixedpibbles on: February 26, 2015 09:47:25 AM
I used this tutorial http://emmalinebags.blogspot.com/2013/02/free-purse-tutorial-great-granny-bag.html
If you make this bag and you have a directional print you need to cut the pattern in half and add seam allowance or one side of the bag print will be upside down. Thankfully I noticed before I cut my fabric.
It is huge and expandable, if I knit or crochet it would be the perfect big project bag. I will probably never use it I just wanted something to do with the rings I have had forever. I will put it in the future present, swap possibility box. Everything was stash including the vintage thread I used.

5  Quilted Bowl Holders in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Mixedpibbles on: January 08, 2015 09:01:30 AM
I never knew these existed till I saw some lemon print ones in a swap on Craftster. I used fabric from my stash ( probably at least 10 yrs old fabric ) and vintage cotton thread, plus cotton batting. I intended for them to be a gift but once the Hubby saw them he pulled the you never make me anything card and insisted he had to have them. We do eat a lot of stews and soups, so I have already started on a new set.

I would put a link to a tutorial but I cannot remember where I saw it. No worries though just Google bowl holder tutorials there are a lot.

I needed a covered pincushion, so I used an old powder decanter. I made a round boxed mini pillow with a vintage jet button in the center.

8  Machine Covers in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Mixedpibbles on: September 11, 2014 02:18:48 PM
Slowly but surely getting my sewing room together, between projects and spur of the moment whims. I have enough of this fabric for a valance and pincushion and some buckets.
I made a total of 4 covers, industrial, embroidery, serger and domestic machine.

I took an 24" old canvas that was painted and covered it with fabric added  hemmed
pockets and two buttons. Stapled it the frame with a staple gun. Everything was in my stash.
