HI all, total newb here. I know enough to have gotten myself in trouble and I have a rather dumb sounding question - if I broke the tip of the upper looper off, will that keep the machine from looping at all?

I have rethreaded in the order the machine tells me threads 4-3-1-2 and went online and looked at videos to make sure. I know i"m threading it correctly.

The hole is still in the tip of the upper looper, the very tip, the pointy part, is what broke off. 

Will this small break keep the whole thing from actually creating stitches/loops?
