I want to start making a few bags, but before I do, I'd love to get some woven labels done. I have a design, and so far haven't had any luck finding somewhere (preferrably in Aust) that offers personalised labels, but at a small quantity. I got a quote for 1000 pieces! I am looking at 50-100 at the most, even thats too much, but I'm sure you can't get smaller than that!!!
thanks for your comments...the great thing about making this purse, was that I could use small pieces fabric, which meant using those offcuts you never think you will use.
i screen-printed the fabric doing a 2-day screen printing course. it is hard to do it yourself, because you need so many materials to get started....if you use stencils instead, that can be done at home, although it is hard to get that straight accurate lines.
not entirely sure. But with email, I think they might send in an order/buy on ebay, and from paypal you send them an email invoice to pay you whatever amount you are charging. They receive the email and pay for item (they might need a paypal account) With website, you can add a 'buy now' button on the page, and I think the item is set-up in paypal, so they click on buy and enter in card details to pay straight away.
Email is prob good for ebay or etsy etc Website is better if you have your own website.
Hey, haven't sold any as yet, but haven't really officially launched the website. The thing that's holding me up is I don't have a credit card to have my own paypal account, I can use my brothers, but he sells things on ebay and only accepts payments by email, so I'm not sure how I can make this work by doing it that way.
Nesse, to answer your question, I am going to sell my bags online, but don't use any tags on my bags as yet. I actually started making a few bags as a hobby, before I seriously thought I could sell them online.
I wanted to get some professionally made, but it's a bit costly, and I'd prefer to see if I sell any bags before I think about buying name tags. I tried using t-shirt transfer paper on material and that turned out really bad, so I gave up!
