21  Re: Harry Potter for our Kids Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by jenefor on: August 22, 2006 01:06:14 PM
OK so call me impatient but since kahluakiggy has received her items I figured that i would put up the picts of what i sent her...
This is the scarf that I made her son (my first knitting project so be kind) modeled by my lil man.

We also made a composition book

Here is the inside cover
I forgot how hard it is to get the burning just right around words and that (they must not put all the good stuff in paper like they used to. It seemed to burn slower when I was a kid)

And we also made a poiton for him. This one is of the one we made my son when we were doing trial and error (exactly the same though but obviously we sent it without the liquid ingredients...besid es the foaming is the fun part right?) You cant realy tell in the pict but there is gliter and stuff that swirls around when you pick it up to use it and that.

We had lots of fun crafting. I wish that we had more time on this end do do more...I still have tons of ideas...darn domestic duties Sad

I still want to see your picts of your son in the scarf kahluakiggy.

22  My Harry Potter jeans in Needlework: Completed Projects by jenefor on: August 21, 2006 09:16:47 PM
I have way too many pair of blah jeans. So this is my first embroidery project (aside from stuff that I had done as a kid.) There are definite flaws and it was a learning experience for what works and what doesn't. But I think over all it turned out cool. I mean I like it and I don't think that many people are going to look at my butt anyhow Tongue

So today I came home to a nice little package at my door...sure made my day!
VanillaXLight totally spoiled me Smiley
This is a main pict of everything

I got 3 pieces of fabric two hats and lots of little amigurumi animals, fruit, and a gnome!

Here is a close up of the fabric

and of my little "friends"...they are so cute I just love them...so does my son Smiley

Here is the first hat that was from my WIST list....I love it!

And of the best ever...Hello Kitty hat! Now if it would only get cold out Smiley

Of course my son wanted to model the hats (he is a ham) and really who am I to complain...he's allot cuter then me Tongue

Anyhow I feel like I got an early Christmas...thanks so much vanillaXlight it was the best!

24  Re: Please post your best costume... in Halloween Costumes by jenefor on: August 04, 2006 12:33:39 AM
OK so I'm slow on this but I love Halloween so I thought I would post some...
This is my son's first Halloween and a skunk costume that i had made him....I love this one the best!

This is his 2nd Halloween and another costume that I had made

Here is the whole family at a friends party. I was a Ghoul Scout (I was really proud of my sash) and my hubby was Darth Maul...I had made all these costumes.

This is his third ...he was going to be a punk rocker and I had made him the plaid pants and then he wanted a tie then last minute halloween day he HAD to be a cat....so I guess he was a "stray cat"

here is one with daddy....he was a skater who "ate it"...which is funny since I have seen him come home like this before. It was just a last minute job.

This one has me in it but I really don't know what was going on here with my outfit Tongue

last year my son just wore a store bought Buzz Lightyear...that was what he wanted....oh well. This year he has been talking about being Harry Potter but we will see what he actually picks.

Everyone has such great ideas...I love looking at them all!

25  HP scarf...my first project in Knitting: Completed Projects by jenefor on: August 03, 2006 09:16:33 PM
So I didn't think that i could do it so my hubby challenged me. I got it done in 6 days (I thought it would take a month at least) there are some flaws but heck it is my first thing I have made aside from little squares (that is why he challenged me...he was tired of squares all over)
Anyhow here it is.

28  Re: LOST Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jenefor on: July 13, 2006 07:38:16 PM
Here are the things that I sent to Motoredxheart....

A Mr. Clucks potholder

A Dharma pincushion

A LOST #'s necklace

Here is a close up

And then the necklace was in this jewlery box

Here is the inside......

it was supposed to be like the little gifts that they used to give you when you would fly...and kinda like who ironic that they give a pendant that has the #'s on it.

And then here was the shirt that I had made since motoredxheart said that she liked the whole golf idea and when Charlie and Hurley were dancing out there.

Close up

Of course this pict of the shirt was taken BEFORE I "set" it...after wards it was sooo crackled and ugly....I tried it 3 other times and it still turned out weird...I think it was the brand of paper maybe? I haven't had issues with regular papers however this was my first try with the dark fabric ones..... Anyhow it was time to send and I  didn't have time to do anymore so I had to send a blank shirt and send the file so she could try it Sad Sorry..... I mean I guess I could have sent it witout setting it so it looked nice but then how crappy would I have felt when she washed it and it got ruined Sad
Anyhow I hope you liked everything and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Motoredxheart!

Here goes....I came home today to my little package (wow that was fast) Anyhow thanks so much motoredxheart!
All the stuff was too cute.
Here are the picts...

here is a group shot of all my goods. I got a tee shirt, magnets, fortune cookie, journal, figurine, purse, and the LOST soundtrack Smiley

Here is a close up of the little Charlie figurine...my fave I think Smiley

Here is what the inside covers of the journal say...now i have someplace to write down all my theories Smiley

Here is my little fortune from inside my cookie

Here is the crafty little magnet holder....read close.....it is Hurley's meds Tongue

And here was what was inside the pill bottle....MAGNETS!

I just wanted to add that on the purse the one side had white fluffy clouds and then the side I showed has dark clouds (you know the whole good/bad thing) and inside was a cute blue fabric with doves flying on it....funny thing is i have that fabric for a top Smiley...I would have taken more picts but my camera's battery died and I wanted to get them up while I had time Smiley

Thanks again for everything I feel spoiled!
