1  Re: Haunted dark forest swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by mialesca on: December 17, 2014 04:43:10 AM
I received from cryssoleil and I love everything she made for me Smiley

It seems that the Frog Prince was too annoying so he was dissected instead of kissed Cheesy

He is knitted with felted organs. I showed him my boss and she was very impressed (she's a veterinarian).

She sent me an ATC (?) with a cute little fox on it. I have never been into ATC, but maybe I should start collecting from now on. This card is so cute, it's on my fridge right now but I don't think it's the place this fox deserves.

I love these postcards with the lonely little girl in the haunted forest. It reminds me a bit of me as I get lost in the forest next to my home all the time Cheesy

Thank you cryssoleil for these wonderfull crafts!!!!

2  Dragonfly in a jar in Felting: Completed Projects by mialesca on: December 11, 2014 04:42:14 AM
In the 3D Bug Swap I made a dragonfly in a jar for waterbaby.
I needle felted the leafs on piece of fabric and needle felted the rocks on the bottom before I sew them on the fabric.
I tried to felt a dragonfly but I liked the idea of using beads instead better, so I could form the different fragments of the body.
The wings are felted over a piece of "web fabric". The stick is from my dead orchid (RIP).

I also made her a beetle comb with a firefly on it, needle felted with some beads for glamour Cheesy

Comments and critics are welcome Smiley

(and thanks to waterbaby for letting me use her photos)

I received from waterbaby yesterday and I am sooooo happy with what she made for me. I love everything!

First, this super cute poodle moth! I have to Quote Agnes from Incredible Me: "OMG it's so fluffy!"
It has a crocheted body and the wings are sewn. I love the sensors (?) and the big eyes.

Next she made me a bed/foot heater which is awesome because I always have cold feet.
It has the colours of a colourfull caterpillar and reminds me of the one from the Book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".

Then she sent me two cute, vintage butterfly brooches which I will pin on my parka.

She sent me some chocolate from a chocolate factory that makes chocolate for 100 years in LA.
I was a bit confussed because she said that it is honeycombs covered with chocolate so I thought that I would eat the home of some bees Cheesy

After all, waterbaby, I love everthing and I am so happy to have you as my Partner  Kiss

Hamlyn were at work with me yesterday.
He helped me filling up vaccinations and cat food. While microscoping a feces sample, he searched for worm eggs.

Then he met Jeany, my bosses dog, and Miezi, a freshly operated cat. Hamlyn was a bit afraid of the cat, but she only could move her head so he was save and I kept an eye on both Smiley

Someone in avocadoeldorado's apartment complex took my package for her as hostage... Sad
So I will post pictures of what I sent, hoping the package will turn up soon.

I made her a an axial brain cut of a human brain in original size. You can see the different layers like grey matter, white matter, the dura mater, etc.

Because I am a vet assistant I couldn't deny myself to send her a "guinea pig brain" of which I have no good picture  Angry
Last I made her some brain-cookies with walnuts as brains on top

I hope avocadoeldorado will find the package soon.

I received from Smmarrt today and what she made is totally awesome!!!!  Smiley

She made a "Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock"-Ninni and a mini "vascular system" Ninni for which she printed the fabric herself.
Within the package were super cool fabric, candy and a postcard from San Francisco.

Front

Back

They both sit on my TV now next to Batowl I got from the 3D Bird Swap. While taking a Picture, Sheldon jumps on the Screen  Cheesy

Smmarrt, thank you soooo much for crafting for me!!!

Finn says "Hello!" He is very excited to travel around the world.
Now he thinks about what to put into his backback for the travel... trunks or winter coat Smiley
(Sorry for the bad Picture quality. I used my iPhone, for the other pictures I'll use my DSLR)

10  Lava-Aquamarine-Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by mialesca on: July 29, 2014 10:23:41 AM
I made a bracelet for my sister made of lava-stones and aquamarine. She is an architecture student and has much stress while crafting Projects or learning for test. Aquamarine spends endurance and self-esteem; lava spends power. I don't know if these stones are really helping, but I think it can't hurt.
