Yofi the hat looks amazing. Here is my last hat of the year. Plain chunky grey yarn with some scraps of raspberry to match the scarf that went with it.

About the acrylic yarn, I used to hate it but I have started using it here and there. The colors it comes in are lovely. My favorite of the acrylics is Bernat satin.

Thank you everyone. Wow that Berry hat looks so good.

I have double pointed needles in size US 1, 2.5 and 4 only so I stick to knitting baby things for the time being:). The husband hat was knit using us 4 for the hat and us 2.5 for the brim. Took forever. I am knitting a baby blanket also, on large needles and it is knitting up faster than the hat.

Last hat done. Now the Mr doesn't like the brim of the hat at all after all the trouble I went to making it longer. Lol. I am giving hats a rest for the rest of year. Ok maybe just one more.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking for a look-alike pattern on: November 08, 2013 03:24:06 PM
I am in love with a chunky knit guess sweater that they have out. I love the 3/4 sleeves, the color, the design, the cables. The fur is not important. I don't love the acrylic yarn it comes in or the $138 price tag. I want to try and knit myself a look alike. Does anyone have any patterns in mind? Here is the sweater:

I love the scraps hat. Such a good idea. I will have to eventually attempt it. I also like the baby beanies, and crown hat, and the bright striped hat. Ok I like everyones hats. Truly. Somehow others's always look nicer.

I am stuck on the last hat, also known as the husband hat. Lol. He keeps changing his mind even though he clearly saw the pattern picture and approved it beforehand. I cut out the inside tag of a shirt of his favorite soccer team and sewed it on the brim. He now wants a longer brim so apart it all goes.

Oh I agree love the subtle stripes. Great way to use up yarn. I will have to look into that technique.

Thank you  Smiley. Let's hope this one fits. It's always disappointing when it doesn't.
