21  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Wall Mural on: November 06, 2005 01:15:27 PM
I want to paint a picture of my fiance's hero, Homer Simpson Cool on the wall of our home office, kind of a motivator, but i have no freehand talent at all, I am great at tracing however and i once saw someone using a projector thing to "project" an image on a large surface so they could paint it, my question is where should i start looking to rent or borrow one of these projector things,

i would ask the person i saw using it, but it was about 10 years a go at  a church i went to once. lol.

thanks for any help,
Carrie

22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Can't Decide! on: September 05, 2005 06:40:58 AM
I need some help deciding what my next project will be I have been practicing cables so I want it to be on of the following:

http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/eris/detail.php

or this:

http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/rogue/detail.php

if I make the second I want to make it into a cardigan like this:

http://www.jejune.net/diy/archives/002611.html

as i have way too many pullovers,

but I am stuck, I guess i need to know how much yarn each takes in order to see if I have enough in my stash already (well I probably have enough if I use lamb's pride worsted in grey (how boring I know)

what I really need is everyones opinions on these sweaters, anyone who has made them or bought the pattern and can help me out, how much yarn for the largest size? would grey lamb's pride show off the cables as nicely as they should?

23  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Cable charts on: August 30, 2005 05:41:58 AM
HI every one.

I am sooo lost. I want to learn how to do cables but I have no idea how to read a chart. I have googled, but for the life of me I cannot find a page to show me how to read it.

basically I want to do the girl from auntie Eris cardigan but want to practive cabling first to make sure I can actually do it, and her patterns only come with a chart so I am trying to figure out before I buy it how to read a chart.

any one have any links/hints/tips/ideas?

Hi everyone, I am looking for some help

I am looking to design a sweater, something simple, but I want it to have princess seams,
if there is an existing pattern out there that anyone knows of that would be great, if not I need some help creating this.

Thanks,
Carrie
25  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking For Yarn... on: July 05, 2005 06:41:08 AM
Hi everyone, I will admit, I am a lurker, but I have come to you in need. I have been asked to make some socks, in specific colors no less...pale pink, burgundy and light grey stripes, the problem is i have searched every local store that sells yarn and i cannot find sock yarn in these colors.

do any of you know of a brand that has these colors so i can start searching online?

thanks in advance,
Carrie
