1  Re: Love your wedding? Then show off your photos here! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by chloe_hippy on: January 28, 2007 09:44:21 AM
we were married last july on the hottest day of the year here in nova scotia, hit 96 degrees!! my dress had 4 layers to the skirt and all the men were wearing tuxes, crazy hot day..but it was beautiful...

my mom made the dresses, i made the flower arrangements, including boutineres, and the invites, my mom made the archway, but i can't find a good picture of it here at work.

and we made the cake,

sorry it took me so long to post, i was away for a bit.

i used the mattress stitch and the mason dixon technique to put mine together.

this is the front of my blanket

this is the back of my blanket, not too messy, but i think i am still going to line it with some flannel, or silky fabric on the back

finally a progress pic to show you all that i am actually working on it, and what it looks like in monochromatic colors.

this is navy and white, but the pic is a little dark, so it looks black and white.

i am going to make a Icosa Welt Ball Pillow in the same color pattern to go with it...see that here:

5  Re: Bears on my Blanket in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by chloe_hippy on: February 28, 2006 01:40:57 PM
I got a response from them, they say because it was designed by a contest winner they cannot sell the pattern only, i did a search for the designer on google, but did not find anything relevant so i cannot contact the designer.

there are 3 bears i am kind of stuck on they are the ones in the picture below with red arrows pointing to them.

if there are any other pictures included with the pattern it would be greatly appreciated, or if there is a way to contact the designer in the pattern booklet that would also be great.

Thanks
Carrie

6  How do I do this? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by chloe_hippy on: February 08, 2006 12:18:26 PM
please excuse the bad "drawing", who knew it was that hard to draw with a mouse?

but this is what i want to knit:

I have the basic sweater figured out, i am going to knit it in the round bottom up, following knitty's article, found here:

http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/FEATknitbynumbers.html

but here is where i need help: the neck, i plan to just keep knitting up till i get it the length i want (slightly shorter then a full turtle neck) but i want to put a zipper in where the line is, would i have to stop knitting in the round and knit back and forth to leave the opening for the zipper? or is there another, better, way to do this?

Thanks,
Carrie

p.s. it is almost the end of my work day i hope my rambing made sense to everybody.

7  Where is this pattern from? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by chloe_hippy on: January 30, 2006 09:39:15 AM

has anyone seen this pattern anywhere? i found the pic online and now i am trying to find out where to get the pattern, as i think these would look very nice under a black dress that i have.

8  Re: Watching TV may be hazardous to your posting... in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by chloe_hippy on: January 25, 2006 12:35:46 PM

is this the sweater? sorry they are small, but the video itself is not too large.

in the side on view you can see what i think are raglan seams, but the short video did not show the back view.
other then the neck of the sweater it kind of looks like a mr. rogers sweater. only punked out lol Wink

hopefully you can see these.

as promised here is the pics of the sweater: any deas how to recreate this? i don't care about the lacy pattern on the front, i can work that in later, i need to know how to create the base sweater first.
