How in the heck do you sew through it?

I purchased the stick on thinking it would hold on fabric, NOT Anyhoo, I attempted to sew it into place only to become frustrated by the thread breaking at the needle and the needle becoming sticky.

WHAT AM I MISSING HERE? I am an experienced sewer who never used it and I purchased it by the yard, so instructs were not available.

I gave it to her without the scarf belt, I just wanted to see what it looked like. I was trying to sew a vinyl trim on the denim handles but couldnt. Vinyl is not easy to sew through unless material is ontop or your sewing on the wrong side. Has anyone had problems with vinyl, how do you sew through it.

Anyhoo, she loved it and Im happy . I welcome ally comments.

the back, i cant get the crotch section to lay flat. when i try the skirt on i have like a little pluck that sticks
out in the back where the crotch was. ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THIS SMOOTH WITHOUT CUTTING?

the khaki handled one was made for my daughter and the other for me. when i saw this same material
in the Rag Shop after seeing it on this site used for someones bags i was so excited. these bags were a challend for me because of the stiffness of the fabric.
