1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Stuck on Ropey sewing on: July 14, 2008 05:04:47 AM
I made this nifty drawstring-ish bag and am having issues sewing two pieces of braided cord (rope-like thickness that has three braided strands that can be unravelled) together to make a loop/circle out of it.
I un-braided it and sewed each strand together one at a time, but the stitching didn't seem like it was going to hold in the cottony rope. (Its too tick to sew through all three stands at once)
Is there a better way? I feel like there is and that I am missing it.
Help please!!!  Undecided
