My beloved new Mr. Ugly magnet and German Mario:
Lastly the awesome sign! I can't wait to get my new house so I can frame it and display it proudly!!!
Sorry some of the pictures are so weird in color, it's snowing here today so the lighting is a little off. Yeah that's right, it's snowing on October 13th. And I live in a really southern part of Canada. Come on, I know there's someone who's got a Canadian snow joke for me! Haha!
Again, love everything, so amazing. Such a fun swap!!!
You wanted pics? You got 'em!!! I recieved a super awesome package from DAnderson today!!! It was so awesome and really thoughtful what she put inside, too. She really listened to me, that's fantastic!! Here's what I got:
*Pez mirror (for my purse, I collect PEZ) *Pez lip gloss *3 big star stickers *Pirate stickers with gold coins *2 "party" stamps - party hat and balloon *green stamp pad *Last but not least: An amazing crocheted coin purse, complete with invisible zipper and cat lining!
And just the coin purse - let's see how well I did with my camera:
It's hard to see all the detail, my camera doesn't have that fancy macro setting on it... it's so amazing. I didn't think I liked crocheted stuff, but Danielle, you changed my mind!!! Can't wait to start using it tomorrow!!!
And now for the package from Radal 16!! Everything in this package was so beautiful, too! I was so lucky to have two swap partners!!! (well it was twice the work for me, too)
What I got from Radal 16: A really cool tree branch scarf, wet felted and needle felted tree art (I don't know what I'm going to do with it either.. but when I think of something you'll be the first to know!!!), two water color tree cards, and lastly a really cute tree clutch... with tree flannel on the inside! It's subtle, and I wish you all could feel the outside material! It's so soft!!!
Here it is, in all its glory:
the felted art:
The whole package was so wonderful!!! I hope you like what I sent you... I don't know if you got it yet.
This entire swap has been so awesome, and I STILL have trees on the brain. It's crazy!!! Everyone's crafts and art are so amazing here! By far the best swap I've done!!!
Okay, the long awaited post from me! There's been a lot going on in my life lately, not to mention not having camera batteries.... SO! Without further ado, here are the packages I recieved! I will do two posts, one for each swap partner. It's only fair!
First Minouette: I received a wonderful package! A green courdory purse with re-vamped tree of life t-shirt, 3 sets of 4 note cards (12 in all), a tree book with hand drawings and pages about the science of trees, etc., and a gorgeous fork-turned-tree pin! Here is is:
The whole package:
I love all of it, I can't pick a favorite! I've worn the pin a bunch of times already, and used the purse lots, too! I haven't read the entire book yet, but it's totally amazing. I may use some of the cards but I'm definitely going to keep one of each style and put them up somewhere, they're such works of art! I love everything!!!!!
I kinda posted this somewhere else because the piece I embroidered was turned into a bag after. But this is about embroidery! I just bought the Stitch It kit from Sublime Stitching, and I LOVE it. I can't wait to get into this, I've always loved hand sewing. So here it is. Opinions, suggestions, comments, critique welcome!
I googled a Hawaiian flower, traced it in Illustrator, printed it out, and traced it onto my bag! Hope you like it!
Okay, finally! Here's my version. I don't like purses that have buckles and rings, etc. I like bags that are just material, so that's all this is, so it's comfortable to wear. The flower is hand-embroidered, my first project for embroidery!
