1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Little Jawas on: November 02, 2013 01:42:30 PM
As hubby decided (with 100% trust in me to get it done in time) that our twin girls will be Jawas this year, I bought brown fleece beginning of October, scoured Craftster for ideas and then... left it to the last minute (for a Halloween party on the 26th) again!  Shocked

Hubby made the "ammunition belts" with normal belts and pieces of cardstock.  Due to their age we agreed not to blacken their faces or put a ski mask over their heads to maybe attach "Jawa Eyes".

2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Newbie from Scotland on: August 24, 2013 01:27:28 PM
Hi there,

I'm "Inselaeffchen" - which is not a weird Scottish word  Grin but just a forum name I've been using since before I moved here (I'm German). Just call me Kat.

I seemed to dabble in lots of crafts, but things I have done most (and probably have the most stash for) is:

Scrapbooking
Card Making
Crochet
Knitting
Quilting

Else there is the Baking & Cooking

I had a look at the UK board on here but there seem to be no new posts since 2012.

However, the reason why I registered with Craftster is that I love to "meet" and swap with international crafters, and just love the different takes on different crafts/projects.

I'm mum to 2 year old twin girls, so might not be able to keep up with the board much, and so far I'm lagging behind with taking time for my crafts (fortunately I'm going to a monthly crop, so I actually GET something done) but intend to change that soon. Still have to figure out how the girls will react to me dealing with yarn (never knitted/crocheted when they were around)... have the vision of them behaving like kittens!!  Wink

Outing myself as a "geek" now, too, when it comes to Superheros, (American/Canadian)Football, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Sherlock,... the list goes on and on and on...  Cheesy On that note ... we've got a tendency to dress up for Halloween (even if we just get a few trick or treaters here), and I'm planning into doing some cosplay costumes for at least the twins for a Comic Mart hubby is trying to sell some stuff at end of September.

Umm... and now just to close the post otherwise I'm going to ramble on.
