Harper enjoyed a slice of strawberry cake today, lounging outside enjoying the hot Scottish (!!!) weather (usually that would be an oxymoron!).  Grin

We will have a slow week this week - hubby dropped off our car at the garage (steering bar not working 100%) and it will hopefully be fixed by the weekend or on Monday. This means no big outings for us unfortunately, just our own garden, and maybe some bus trip to soft play or the city farm. Wink

Harper has been helping me with the washing today, she was very helpful. She also likes lounging beside me in the camping chair while the girls are playing with the girls next door. Smiley

We've had a great time down in Northumberland, and Harper enjoyed travelling a bit into England. Smiley

Warning - Photo Heavy!! Smiley

Travelling down on the Train due to the car being deemed not safe to drive for longer distances...

A nice day at the beach close to Warkworth

Nice Dim Sum at a restaurant in Newcastle

in Newcastle's Chinatown

and a yummie dinner at a Greek restaurant at Newcastle, too. Smiley

A trip to Alnwick Castle (but we didn't get inside)

Then taking the train back home

Prompt:  Battle Royale JUNE Rock vs. Paper vs. Scissors vs. Lizard vs. Spock - Paper
Team: Multimedia
Event: Paperology
Bonus Points: N/a
Project Name: Summery Tags
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: Bit stumped by the prompt for BR, as I'm not watching Big Bang Theory. The easiest for me was to hand in this here - a summery tag for the seasonal swap at our local crop. Quilling, punching, stamping, glueing... suppose, could have gone for Scissors, too... Wink

Brief Description:
As I am the crafter in our house, I was asked to make a father's day card for my father-in-law. He most likely was my hubby's hero in his childhood, and he is one of the real life heroes for my daughters right now. Smiley

Harper was trying to help making some quilled ice cream cones, but with no arms/hands it was more watching me doing it? Smiley

We're getting ready for another family holiday, this time a "stay-cation", we're going south of Alnwick. Hoping for very good weather.

We went for the first time on the local Tram yesterday (only taking passengers since 30 May while we were on holiday). And we went to an event of the International Film Festival, free outdoor cinema!

Meeting the family (although Harper has already met the girls the day after she arrived!!!)..

and we were watching "How to train your Dragon" (on the photo is the previous movie though).

Hurray!! First class work handed in!! Wink

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Astronomy
SPEW: N/A
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Sorting History
Brief Description: My dad has given me four C5 envelopes full of photos ... photos of 4 generations. I spent the last hour scanning the photos (well... most of them, due to odd photo sizes from older generations and the fact my parents fell into the "oval shaped photo frames" trap. Wink  I'm such a happy scrapbooker now ... although I'll have to write down stuff from the original photos and give some "tags" and descriptions to the newer photos (i.e. my big sis' and my generation), as my dad only added the number of the film roll and then the number of the photo ... no more info. Whoops!!

My purchase this year for scanning slides, photos and negatives

Said envelopes

And a little peek of me as a child... Wink

Can't wait to do some scrapping now... Cheesy

Harper went with hubby and me to a Comedy Stand Up show today... Smiley

(as for last week - we only arrived back from Germany on Monday night, and for the last 2 weeks I had only sporadic internet access - and a very busy schedule meeting up with friends & family. LOTS of photos though with Harper!)
