I was just curious how others plan to recycle their calendars?  I'm making envelopes and cards with mine.

My friend was in an Opera Choir in college and there was a guy Jesus (HEY-zoose) who was a total flake and often caused a lot of discord because he never paid attention during rehearsals.  One especially long night he ordered a pizza and didn't give specific enough instructions where to deliver it.  So during a run-through this delivery guy shows up and announces he has a "Pizza for Jesus" (GEE-zus).

This story has made me laugh over and over again.  I've used it for card I'm sending him next week.  I'm posting pictures tomorrow - but please don't check back to see them if you think you will be offended.

Here is another card I made over Thanksgiving weekend.  I've been experimenting with adhesives and glued the little marbles and bead to the card as well as a shell and some old postage stamps.







The last two pics are of the accordion fold tags that I used.  My favorite materials to work with are left over water color paintings I'm not happy with.  I paint over them and use crayon.  I also like to heat crayons on to wax paper and then tear that up and use it along with rice papers. 

I made some new collage cards/poetry pockets over Thanksgiving weekend.  I sent them out last week, so I'm beginning to hear back from my friends on both the art and and the poetry.  I've had so much fun with this project.  Here are pics from a card I made for a new mother.

I've been crafting these cards I call Poetry Pockets for my friends.  In each card there is a small pocket where I place one of my poems.  This way I can craft & write poetry & keep in touch with friends creatively.
