1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Hatbox Ghost from the Haunted Mansion on: July 09, 2015 04:43:27 PM
I was partnered up with kittykill in the Darker Side of Disney Swap. She said that one of her favorite characters is the Hatbox Ghost, who was featured in the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland but removed shortly after his debut. So I decided to create a big, polymer clay version of him!

He also glows in the dark, because what's a ghost without a little eerie glow? Wink
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / First Teesha Moore style bag - Hunger Games themed! (pic heavy) on: January 29, 2014 05:12:20 PM
I made this Teesha Moore Hunger Games bag for patty_o_furniture for the Catching Fire Swap. She had a few Teesha Moore bags on her pinterest, and I've always admired them, so I couldn't resist! Even though they take awhile, I think I want to do about a billion more  Cheesy

Lined the inside with this pretty (but stretchy) burgundy fabric to make it look a bit neater.

This was taken before it was finished, but you get the idea

Some of my favorite patches  Grin I never really did embroidery before besides 1 hoop, but I think they turned out nicely

Thanks, patty_o for inspiring me to take on a new art form  Cheesy
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hiya! I'm so excited to be here!! on: July 28, 2013 08:50:40 AM
Well, hi, I'm Miranda! I'm from Ohio, and I've been crafting for quite some time now! I like to try out various mediums, so I sew, use clay/polymer clay, draw, etc. I've also dabbled in painting, a teensy bit of stamp carving, may start a bit of woodworking, and more. Basically, I use whatever I have on hand and have a good idea for it!

I stumbled upon the website about a month ago and could not stop lurking. Then, I noticed all the swaps, and because of this - and the awesomely unique crafts and tutorials - I decided I needed to join this community! I mean, how neat is it to get something totally unique, made just for me, but not made by me??! And to be challenged to make something totally unique and inventive specially for someone else??! Even better!  Cheesy  I've seen some great swaps forming right now, but according to the swapping rules, I won't be able to join just yet (boo!)

But besides my strange, newfound obsession for swaps, I'm just a geeky girl who's lacking geeky merchandise. That really got my crafty juices flowing. I've been making Doctor Who, Sherlock, Star Trek, Marvel plushies for myself and my friends as graduation presents (finishing up a David Tennant plushie, and I don't want him to go!!  Undecided ) I'll post some pics once I'm able to. I'm always scouring the web for more inspiration and have tons of projects racing through my brain.  Smiley

I'm so, so excited to be here, and you can bet I'll be posting my creations, being awed by others' creations, and having a blast for a long time to come!
