21  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Wifi on a laptop for paypal? on: February 27, 2010 12:39:22 AM
Im going to be finally participating in a fair on the last weekend of march (FINALLY! sofar everything ive signed onto has been cancled or something else has gotten in the way)

Its a large fair, and so far every year ive gone as a buyer almost every vendor has a credit card macine. Sadly I dont have the cash for one, So would a laptop set up with wi-fi and paypal be an acceptable way to accept credit cards? Or having everything avalible on Etsy and have to possiblity of byers purchase online and recive in person work?

Im worried someone might try and accuse me of trying to make off with their credit card information or something!

Sorry if that didnt make scence ive been up WAAY too late trying to sew everything i have left to sew and my serger just went bust!
22  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for a pattern on: February 21, 2010 12:45:44 PM
That is such a lovely lolita dress!

Your best bet would be to hunt down one of the Gossurori or lolita bibles and harvest there patterns (just be aware the sizes are super tiny!) or find a site online what has the pattern scans and copy it to paper.

Theres an awesome pattern list here: http://blueperiod.suddenlaunch.com/index.cgi?board=sewing&action=display&num=1129401043

24  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / another round of Craft for my Other or Another ? on: December 29, 2009 11:50:40 PM
Ive seen swaps with this idea before but for the life of me can not seem to find them with search!

Its a swap where you pick some one you know and you partner crafts for them and you craft for someone they know.
I figured it may cut down on what happend with the last swap i did, my boyfriend was sooo jealous i was getting stuff and he didn't!

So what do you think?

28  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Business Name thread - Get opinions and ideas about names for your business! on: November 10, 2009 08:45:09 PM
So I decided after a local show fell through and i still feel like vending id open an Etsy. But now it seems like Etsy isn't a good plan (with all the really negative posts you can find on the selling on etsy board i don't know if its even worth doing ti anymore)
But i do have a local dance store where i may be able to sell.

I usually make Tribal belly dance clothing and the odd mulit-dance form pieces as well.
I'm down to two names its either:

Tribal Tutu
or
Death and Candy.

Help?
