*PIC HEAVY!!!

HI!
After almost a month I finally have gotten around to posting pics of what I sent to mayerlove. Sadly my rides vehicle's engine blew a while ago so I haven't be able to go and get mine yet (its killing me waiting!) but I'm going after the long weekend to go get it!!

Detail of the quilting-ish bottom for reenforcement.

As youv'e probably noticed the messenger bag has no strap!
That was completely on purpose! I couldn't figure out a strap that looked good to me for the bag,
I sent my partner a looong strip of fabric to make a strap how she likes  and make it long enough for her.
Believe it or not these are the first bags ive ever made! I promise i cliped all the stray thread before i sent it off!

But i refuse to pay the 70 odd dollars they want for it (here: http://l-a-m-b.com/Products/Rasta-Hat__LM7110-spc---spc-JagChrCam.aspx)

Dose anyone know how to do this? I know its crochet, and i believe that its either HDC or DC stitches and its a ripple pattern but i can not for the life of me figure out how to do this!

I'm in the process of attempting to knit a pair of arm warmer/gloves, and I've been looking for a good leaf pattern to incorporate into it. i saw this:

in a blog along time ago,and it would be perfect, but sadly its in a magazine and i don't have the patience to wait for a back order! Dose anyone know of where i can get a pattern that looks similar? (preferably oner on the internet that i can get now and not one in a magazine)
