1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer 7258 OR Brother CS6000i on: January 05, 2014 10:20:58 AM
I've been sewing since I was 12. I'm 25 now, so I'd say I'm really familiar with sewing machines. The only ones I've ever used were 2 Vintage old school singers whom belonged to my grandma, passed onto me and a Montgomery Ward one I bought for $15 at a garage sale! I have now moved away from home and I desperately need a new sewing machine. I've been debating between the singer 7258 stylist and the brother cs6000i.
Any tips or advice on which one you personally prefer and for what reasons? Pros and cons are also greatly appreciated. I don't necessarily want the best bang for my buck- I want the best overall performance with least known issues.
Thank you so much in advance! My husband deploys soon- so I need to get started on projects to keep busy!
