1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My very first skirt! on: August 29, 2013 09:13:59 PM
Well, as a momma to two girls who have a...quirky fashion sense (to say the least), I figure my only chance of not going broke is to start making clothes. So, here's my first attempt! Its a pretty basic pattern, but it was mostly for practice. Plus, she dug it, so there's that  Grin

2  COOKING / Dessert / Halloween Cake! on: August 29, 2013 03:35:46 PM
Here is a halloween cake I made for a girlfriend last year, it was so fun! Plus, the kids helped to decorate it  Grin

The dirt was crushed cookies, and the stones in the walkway were marbled fondant
3  COOKING / Dessert / Mario Bros Cake Attempt! on: August 29, 2013 03:22:24 PM
So, I really enjoy baking, and though I'm far from professional, I like to make birthday cakes for the kids! Plus, I always learn a few lessons. This cakes lessons were fondant related, lol...
4  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / CRAZY picky veggie daughter on: August 18, 2013 07:59:29 PM
Hello everyone! I was hoping that this group of veggies might be able to help a mother out  Grin My daughter is almost 10, vegetarian, and Very picky! She loves fruits/veggies, and pasta, and pizza...and that's about it. I'm not sure how to ease her into new foods, but I need her to branch out. I don't like cooking her the same things every night, and I don't want her to shut down to new foods forever  Undecided She also has odd texture/smell issues, sometimes to the point of freaking out/melting down (though this has gotten a bit better with lots of work). I know it may seem that I'm asking the impossible, but if any one has some ideas, I would love to hear them.
