house: hufflepuff

Class: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Project: fudgesicles

I was in the mood for a cold snack so I made fudgesicles in the morning so they'd be ready in the afternoon. My popsicle molds and my popsicle sticks are currently lost, so i used a plastic spoon in place of a stick. I used silicone cupcake wrappers instead of the molds. If you want the recipe you're in luck because for DADA i must make a tutorial. Here is my recipe!

Fudgesicles (makes 6 2.oz popsicles or 4 3.oz popsicles)

ingredients:
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 1/4 cup milk ( any kind)
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon butter

Directions :
Melt the chocolate chips on low in a medium saucepan. Stir in the sugar, corn starch, milk, cocoa powder, and salt on medium heat until thick. This should take about 5 minutes. Remove from heat add vanilla and butter. Stir really well. Add an even amount of the mixture to each mold, freeze for 30 minutes insert the sticks.Make sure the stick or spoon is covered in chocolate so it will not fall of the stick. Freeze for at least 1 hour more. Take them out of the molds and they should be ready to eat.

The silicone cupcake wrappers peeled off very easily with out breaking the popsicle

project-panda pumpkin

we had a pumpkin decorating contest at school for halloween. the challenge was that we weren't allowed to carve it. so i had to come up with diffrent ways to decorate it. i wanted to make a panda, i love pandas. i painted the actual pumpkin black and white for the body. next i slipped a styrafoam ball over the stem as a head i glued on eyes made out of paper and drew a nose and mouth with a sharpie. for the arms legs ears and tail i used fuzzy black pom pom balls  Grin

project-harry potter monopoly

We decided to create our own version using an old monopoly set. we recovered the board in paper, and researched places inside of hogwarts, and the wizard community.

we also had fun making up our own chance cards

we covered the street names on the title cards in masking tape and wrote the place it was so we could keep the origional rents and prices. then we got to play our new game. yah!

Project - storage automan with cushion
The cube was a kit I bought and my grandpa helped with the cushion because he had tools we did not have. We took a board, layered it it with foam, wrapped it in fabric, and stapled it underneath. Then the seat was screwed in place. This was my home environment 4h project and it is going to state fair.

It's good for storage, and even the dogs likes it!
