1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Coolll neww basement!! on: May 29, 2007 03:01:22 PM
hey everyone!
I need ideas for my basement since we are basiclly redoing because of this flood that wrecked the floors and our couch down there.  Any whoo....my parents are thinking of painting the floor grey (bluuck!) and then we bought this cool carpet from target (its like beige with black squares all different sizes) and we are getting a black couch, 2 red bean bags and some cool trhow pillows.  Now this is where i need some help.  That's baically all we are doing down there so far besides putting a TV down tehre and some shelves but i need some ideas to make this basment awweesome!!  What my basemnt looks liek now is the walls are made of brown wood and there's a huge mural made up off old New York Times magazine covers, so I'm definetly not looking for anything that will tyotally make this look weird (like a bright green theme ...)  Ok sorry I'm talking a lot...but  ANYYY help whatsoever would be great!! thanks!

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / voodoo doll "punishments"...but how? on: December 10, 2006 02:38:36 PM
im making a voodoo doll for my friend and want to put words on it such as(on stomach): gain 50 pounds.  i was thinking of writing htese words on it, but after cutting out the doll, realized it would probably be to small and get all crowded and ruin the whole effect.  So here's my question:: could i possibly type the words obn the computer, print it out and then somehow iron it on someway without making it look wierd(make it blend in with the fabric)
help would be greatly apreciated!
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / VOODOO DOLL? on: December 09, 2006 01:55:00 PM
ive been really excited to make a voodoo doll for my friend of someone else as a joke.  I would know how to make the actual body part but not so much
1)The face(how to get it on the fabric)
2)and what words i should put on (like on forehead it would say:headache, or something. but i was trying to get more creative like on the leg: fall down stairs)haha sorry im so cruel.
any suggestions would be increidble because i haven't even started my christmas projects and I need to know how to do this before i can actually start it.
please and thank yous!
