I just got some awesome fandom patches from my partner milkeway.
First, my favorite, I'm still squealing....the luggage from Discworld. Ohhh, look at those bitty cutie lil teefs! She outlined him free-motion, I love having free motion embroidery for myself now woop woop!
Next up is my very own Firefly in a jar, this one won't die on me
The butterfly pouch is gorgeous, those skills! The steampunk cat is awesome, very creative! I also love the stitched cats, Nintendo and the spock patches....this gallery is sweet! My partner milkeway received on Monday so I thought I'd go ahead and post pics of the patches I sent her:
Johanna quote from Catching Fire
Futurama conversation hearts lovin
A quote from Death (Supernatural)
I had a lot of fun making them, so glad you liked them
Oooh a catbus stamp! The insect tee is so cool! How did you get that look, bleach maybe?
I received from my partner WeeFreeRhie yesterday but the pictures came out pretty dark so hopefully these are a bit better in the afternoon light...
First I got a key bracelet, 2 headbands and 2 barrettes inspired by Downton Abbey
She also sent me a mason-mug with a Terry Pratchett (I'm actually currently reading Discworld) quote, a stained-glass looking tardis (Dr Who swag, woop), a dragon statue, and a lil monster zip pouch that my daughter snatched up real quick. The picture is coming out a little smushed, hopefully that works itself out (I had to post this quick as I'm heading out the door)
Well the tracking shows that my partner's (eclecticdreamer) package arrived on the 4th and I haven't heard from her, so I thought I would go ahead and post pics EclecticDreamer said in her questionaire that she would rather 1 bigger thing than a few smaller ones since she is tight on space....that worked out perfectly because I ended up spending quite a chunk of time making her a zippered Teesha Moore inspired pouch of her favorite shows (it's the size of a piece of computer paper---which I used as a template)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I received two really cool Firefly patches from CraftADDchick yesterday. I had so much fun stenciling a few of the patches I made, so I really loved getting the stenciled Blue Sun. And wow, she painted fabric to make the background of the firefly ship...it's a really cool paperish texture, I'm still checking it out . I must try some fabric painting soon. And check out the tiny detail stitching on the ship...that took some patience! As usual, I love my patches!
I just received a pile of really cool patches from noodle-bug. It's funny how small and petite she makes her patches, and mine are like thick monsters in comparison...i always do the stringy/wonky edges, and her patches are finished with a neat fold and stitch. This is why I love these patches so much....with all the different techniqued TM patches I have collected, they all fit together so awesomely, serious personality in the mix So on to bizniz
A few patches inspired by one of my fav movies Fantastic Mr Fox! The tail is so durn cute and Ever since I saw the movie, I'm always saying what the cuss! Love them
Confession....I'm not actually sure what movie/show the eye patch came from...I'm going to smack myself when you tell me. It does feel very familiar, either way, I think it is really cool! Ohhhh and noodle made her other partner a light up tardis and must have felt my jealous desperation because lookie lookie...my very own light up tardis!! My daughter squealed and tried to run off with it, ummmm no, don't you know I will cut you kid!? Coolest thing EVA!
Thank you so much noodle-bug, it was an awesome package to open up! Very creative, loved them all
I just received an awesome embroidery pouch from anna.wahnsinn. I am laid up on the couch with what is starting to feel like the flu, so this was an awesome little treat to get today. Forgive the pictures, it's nighttime so I had to find a bright spot in the house.
Here it is folded up with an adorable lil owl button. It's actually double folded, if I had an embroidery hoop in there it would be double the width when closed/folded.
Here it is opened. It has so much storage, I'm giddy! 3 large pockets to fit supplies and hoops...2 button loops to hold extra hoops in the center....and on the right a felt needle holder and awesome pouch. I really wanted to fill it up and take a picture that way, I'm so excited to organize my embroidery stuff in there...but getting me off the couch to take pictures was about as far as my sickly self can go tonight
