Monkey, I love that you made alcohol inks.  I've been curious if those work as good as store-bought ones.  My daughter goes through sharpies like crazy, but I'm just too lazy to go through all the work of trying to make the inks myself.  Let us know how it goes when you use them

Smeddley, all your little critters are so adorable!

Acadian, that air ship looks intense (so says my daughter), very cool!  I really like how you used torn paper on the notecards.  Definitely going to look up love-rocks, that's so sweet.  The bag cracks me up because my husband gives me the side-eye when I save our huge dog food bags and say I'm going to craft with them.  I keep saying i'll make bags and pouches, but never happens.

Abbee, so jealous ya'll got snow!!  Over here in Maryland we've only gotten a super light dusting (people still freak out like it's another snowpocalypse though).  By now we've always had at least one good chunk of snow thrown on us, but the weather is so crazy, it's sad.  We might be the only family in our area that is disappointed though, no one likes snow here :/.  The pokemon stamp is awesome, my daughter loves pokemon too...it's a crazy obsession.

I did absolutely ZERO today, but it's the first day I've not done anything crafty since the month started.  A few days ago I finished another never ending art card to keep for myself (I made a collage of the pics from both, so there's duplicate pics in this thread).

And yesterday, I spent forever (I'm slow sometimes) getting the hang of formatting a Word doc to make Artistamps for a mail swap.  I really love the idea of making minis of all my art, especially the ones I send off and cry about for awhile.  And I also love the idea of getting mini stamps of other people's art.  I'm eventually going to make some sort of mini stamp journal to keep them all together.

Acadian, I'm guessing you're vegetarian?  You're making some seriously yumm looking food!!
Smeddley, the pie bunting is cracking me up, that's so fun!

More paper crafting for me tonight.  I'm in a swap on another site where we make a "never ending art card" which is basically one piece of paper folded and glued in a way that lets you flip it all kinds of crazy ways.  You can fit 4 small pieces of art on it, but they have to be cut in half to allow for the twisting/turning.   I can't explain it lol. I'll have to post her YouTube video link in a bit.

So much food, so much yum looking food!!  I'm the middle of three girls, and the only one who inherited zero cooking skills, seriously, zero (unless making ramen noodles count).  I totally appreciate people who enjoy to cook, and do it well, props.  Love seeing those pics!

I spent most of my craft time yesterday playing with image transfer onto paper.  Lots of fails.  I didn't have great luck using wet acrylic paint, but I was able to make a light transfer using wax paper ("Guanaco Camel" image from graphicsfairy.com) Uggg, my pictures will either look normal on my ipad or my desktop, never both at the same time Sad

Today I made a few quick postage people ATCs

I miss sewing, so I'm giving myself another day or two of paper crafts and then hopefully uncover my sewing machine Smiley

For Day 5 I separated my postcard and ATC backgrounds into piles I like and piles I'm not crazy about..my challenge is to look at the backgrounds I don't like again and try to make them into something I do like, whatever that entails.  I ended up with these three random fact ATCs and I'm totally going to do more, fun fun.  I can't believe how many honeys I have thrown out "just in case"..those suckers are pricey!

ohhhh Acadian, my mouth literally watered just now.  That looks really good!

I didn't have a very productive crafty day today.  I attempted to transfer images to a few of my postcard backgrounds and a piece of cloth, but all the images are still left with a thin white foggy layer of paper, I'm trying to rub the last little layer of paper off so much that I'm now rubbing the image off pretty much all of them.  I used a matte fluid medium, not sure if I need to go get some thick gel medium or not.  I should probably do smaller images too, I tried it with images that took up a good chunk of the postcard..  Uggg, luckily I used backgrounds that I wasn't crazy about.  Anyone have any tips for image transfers directly onto a painted or collaged background?

The really fun  part of my day was celebrating this stud's 49th birthday!  BayBay is my daughter's dachshund.  I'm not allowed to call him mine unless I specify that I'M ONLY THE "GRANDMA".  We adopted him 3 years ago and he's been my daughters love and light ever since.  When we got Baybay, my daughter said he sits like a gentleman, so he's been wearing a birthday tie and top-hat ever since.

Side Piece: Here's an image I found on how you can cut an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock (masterboard, wooop!) into 10 ATCs

Made some master boards today. I glued ALL the teensie paper scraps on my desk to a few boards, made another crazy colorful board using my daughters thrown-away origami papers,(took pic before glue dried) and made another board with the last few scraps of origami paper and book pages of foreign text.  Phew!  In all, I made 9 ATC and 14 postcard backgrounds (the last pic).  Most of them are pretty busy, but if I decide not to use them as postcards, I can cut them into embellishments.  I need to do master boards with my medium scraps next...and then make calmer inked, painted, and stamped ones.  Ooooh and I like to cut my gelli prints up too..I love a gelli background! Definitely going to be my fall-back craft for this month.

Emily, love the pen holder bookmark, so cute and an awesome idea!!

I made a few ATCs from the mess on my desk today.  Then I got real with myself and admitted that I would need wayyy more than 3 ATCs to take a dent out of my teensie scraps that I can't seem to throw out. Who needs a drawer for tiny scraps, a drawer for small scraps, a drawer for medium scraps and a drawer for larger papers?  Me, I do...its insanity.  So, I think tomorrow I'll go glue crazy and make masterboards...easy breezy.

I'm hoping to art every day and I totally tried today, but I only ended up making a swap log booklet for my planner (which I totally have been needing, so I consider it a score!).  Here's how I'm leaving my crafty desk for the night...battles, battles were fought on that desk today.  My poor sewing machine. I pretty much go back and forth between sewing and arting, I'm equally messy with both. My favorite part is actually cleaning this kind of stuff up!

You guys have a sick sense of humor...I like it  Grin

Stellato...the colors in your painting are AMAZING, jealous of your skills.  Can't wait to see it finished.

Audio love the taxidermy head and my daughter would get a kick out of the Dino...the colors are perfect

Today I finished a crib blanket that my sisters friend asked me to make.  She sent me the fabrics and black bubble minky.  I've only used bubble minky on bibs and burp cloths, never on something as large as a blanket...does it normally ripple (or make them a bit wavy) on  the edges? you can see it at the top. I'm really critical of things I make (normal, right!), but it bothers me.  It's either the bubble minky's wacky personality, or the fact that I forgot to widen my stitch length around the border.  Either way, I'm gonna sleep on it before I decide if it's worth unpicking.

I have so much catching up to do, I'll have to scroll way up after I post.  I LOVE bowl holders, we use ours all the time!
So I've been busy making planner covers and collages this last week.  I made me and my sister (and a small random one) planner covers and I'm crazy for my scrappy fabric one, I'm totally going to make more of these to prep for an etsy shop I eventually hope to open.

Since I can't draw Sad I've been trying out collage..here's some of my fav 3 piece portraits and wack collage postcards that I've made this week
**i keep playing with the image size to make them smaller and I might be making them wonkier, so I'll just stop
